Normal Work Day/Work Week. The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days per week. The normal workday will consist of eight (8) hours per day. No split shifts will be allowed. It is recognized that during peak or low production periods or emergency circumstances, the workweek may be altered as conditions dictate. The Employer will give a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours' notice in the event of a temporary plant shut-down, except in emergency circumstances beyond the control of the Employer.

Normal Work Day/Work Week. ‌ Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, eight (8) consecutive hours shall constitute a regular work day and forty (40) hours a regular work week. Work schedules for the coming work period shall be posted no later than eight (8) days prior to the starting date of the new schedule. The parties have agreed to implement a 12 hour shift schedule, which includes an agreement regarding filling a reduced workforce. The terms of that agreement are included in Appendix I and incorporated herein.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).
