Occasional Leave. 1. After the first round of bidding, an occasional leave chart shall be posted for each designated facility. Employees may not bid occasional leave in advance of 33 days prior to the date requested. Bids shall be first come first served. In case of a tie, seniority shall prevail. 2. Occasional leave must be requested in 8 hour increments. No request for less than one whole day will be considered. 3. Employees shall give 24 hours minimum notice when signing up for available occasional leave. Requests should be consistent with the bidding restrictions.

Occasional Leave. Occasional leave may be taken up to one (1) hour upon approval of the building principal. The teacher taking the leave will be responsible for arranging coverage of classes and informing the building principal. No substitute will be provided or paid by the district for the teacher using leave. No entry is required in the automated absence reporting system. Absences exceeding one (1) hour must be entered into the automated absence reporting system as the appropriate leave type. The building principal will determine the parameters of occasional leave. Any disputes will be turned over to the Executive Director of Human Resources.

Should a particular employee be participating in a documented medical course of treatment program for a specific illness which would only be available to that employee during normal medical office hours, and the working schedule of that employee prevented him/her from obtaining regular treatment, it then will be appropriate to use Vfe day sick leave in order to obtain said treatment.

  • Additional Leave Any further leave granted beyond the normal thirty-seven (37) week period, or the forty-two (42) week period for special circumstances, will be unpaid leave without benefits.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home.   • Extended Personal Leave Leave without pay for up to one (1) year may be granted to a teacher provided said teacher has been actively employed for five (5) continuous contract years preceding the granting of this leave and has not been granted an extended part-time leave within that period. Application for said leave shall include a statement indicating the purpose of the leave and shall be submitted, except in unusual circumstances, as determined by the District, thirty (30) days prior to the date the leave is to commence.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Educational Leave of Absence Leaves of absence may be granted up to six (6) months under the above provisions only if the course would be beneficial to both the University and the employee.

  • Personal Leave Day Each employee who has been continuously employed by the College for more than four

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part-time Nurses who are elected to the College of Nurses to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Nurses who are elected to the RNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Practical Nurses who are elected to the RPNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings.

  • General Leave of Absence a) Leave of absence without pay may be granted to employees for valid reasons as set out by Company policy. b) An employee on general leave of absence shall not accumulate sick leave credits, or earn vacation but shall retain the seniority, sick leave credits, and vacation credits earned prior to commencing leave of absence. c) Employees do not have the option of continuing their benefit coverage during the leave. d) Employees on leave of absence shall be required to apply for any extension.
