Investigation and Presentation of Grievances. The Union may designate one employee as Shop Xxxxxxx. The Shop Xxxxxxx will be allowed release time, without pay, for the following activities: to present grievances to management; to attend grievance arbitration hearings; and, to attend conferences and hearings of the New York State Public Employment Relations Board. The investigation of grievances may only be conducted during non-working hours (e.g. before and after the workday, meal periods, rest periods).
