Officer's Rights. An officer shall be guaranteed the procedures, rights and privileges set forth in this section.
A. When existing rules and regulations are changed, or new rules and regulations are established, they shall be posted prominently on all departmental bulletin boards and furnished to each officer, who will acknowledge receipt of the changes. Said changes will be in effect upon posting on all departmental bulletin boards.
B. An officer shall not be required to donate or contribute to any type of political campaign or charitable organization.

Officer's Rights. All Employees in bargaining unit whom are the subjects of a complaint or investigation 5 shall be entitled to protection of the following rights:

The Human Resources Department shall be informed by the Union of current appointments of Union Officers, Business Agents, Shop Stewards, Negotiation Committee Members and any other Employee authorized to represent the Union in matters which are appropriate under provision of this Agreement within each department, section or area.
(i) The Union Representatives shall be granted sufficient time at no loss in the Employee’s designated base rate of pay, to conduct Union Business required under this Agreement.
(ii) The Union Representative shall notify the applicable Manager of any Employee requiring time off to conduct Union Business required under this Agreement.
(iii) Notwithstanding 2.03 (a) (i) and (ii), the Union shall notify the respective Vice President in writing and within at least seven (7) calendar days of any Employee requiring time off to act on official Union Business not required of this Agreement. The Vice President or official designate shall notify the Union of a decision in writing within three (3) calendar days of receiving the request.
(b) At the request of the Employee, a Union Representative shall be in attendance during any investigation where discipline could be contemplated, disciplinary meetings, and terminations.
Officer's Rights. The Township recognizes that every Officer shall have the right to freely organize, join, and support the FOP for the purpose of engaging in collective negotiations.
Officer's Rights. An officer may request to review the responses to the written oral examination questions within fourteen (14) days of the examination. Such request must be in writing and delivered to the Board of Fire and Police Commission within that time frame. The Officer shall be given access to the requested materials within fourteen (14) days of the request.
Officer's Rights. Any officer may review at any time the records concerning the individual officer within the Chief's office, Personnel office and the Internal Affairs Unit, and receive a copy of same at his request.
Officer's Rights. If a law enforcement officer is under investigation and is to be interrogated by the Chief of Police or his designee for any reason which could lead to disciplinary action, the officer shall be entitled to have an Association representative present at the interview. The law enforcement officer under investigation shall be informed of the nature of the investigation prior to the interrogation. The interview shall take place during the officer's normal working hours whenever possible, unless the gravity of the charge requires immediate interrogation. Interrogation sessions are to be limited to a reasonable period of time, with appropriate rest periods. No complaint by civilians will be investigated unless the complaint is reduced to writing.
