Other Temporary Leave. Other temporary leaves of absence may be granted with or without pay by the Superintendent or designee.

Other Temporary Leave. Other temporary leaves of absence of five (5) days or more must be requested in writing and submitted to the Superintendent or designee. Such leaves may be granted at the discretion of the employer with or without pay.

Employees are expected to only use as much of the bereavement leave as is needed in the given situation. For example, if the immediate family member who died was living out of the area and the employee does not plan on attending the service, the employee would be expected not to take any leave.
Other Temporary Leave. An employee may be granted temporary leave for any such reasons and purposes not expressly identified under the previous section, upon authorization by the Superintendent. This leave may be with or without pay. The determination shall be made at the time of temporary leave approval.

  • Temporary Military Leave An employee who is a member of the reserve corps of the Armed Forces of the United States or of the National Guard or of the Naval Militia shall be granted a Temporary Military Leave while engaged in military duty ordered for the purposes of military training, drills, encampment, naval cruises, special exercises or like activity as such member providing that the period of ordered duty does not exceed one hundred eighty (180) calendar days including time involved in going to and returning from such duty.
