Payment for Unused Leave. Participants shall, upon retirement, receive payment for any unused annual leave and sick leave to which they are entitled.
Payment for Unused Leave. Upon resignation, termination of employment or retirement from the Department, employees shall be paid in full for any accumulated vacation and personal leave at their regular rate of pay.
Payment for Unused Leave. Employees who terminate or retire with the City and have completed their probationary period shall be paid for accrued and unused personal leave at their regular rate of pay up to a maximum of accrual rate hours for the appropriate year established under Article 7.01.

a. The District will pay $25/daily for unused sick leave upon the voluntary termination of an employee who has worked at least five consecutive years for the District. (amended 2005, 2022)
b. The District will pay 50% of the daily rate for unused sick leave for an employee voluntarily retiring from service through the Nevada State Retirement System. (Amended 1999) (amended 2005, 2022)
c. The District will pay $50/daily for unused sick leave to the beneficiaries of an employee who dies while employed by the District (Amended 1999) (amended 2005) (amended 2011)
Payment for Unused Leave. A. Annual Cash Payment: On an annual basis, any employee with a personal leave balance in excess of 204 hours may elect to receive a cash payment for up to 104 hours at their current hourly rate of pay. Employees must request payment in writing on the designated form each year and the request must be received by the Human Resources Department no later than November 15th. The Human Resources Department will coordinate payment to the employee no later than December 10th of each year.
Payment for Unused Leave. A. Annual Cash Payment: On an annual basis, any bargaining unit member with a personal leave balance in excess of 204 hours may elect to receive a cash payment for up to 140 hours at their current hourly rate of pay. Employees must request payment in writing on the designated form each year, and the request must be received by the Human Resources Department no later than November 15th. The Human Resources Department will coordinate payment to the employees no later than December 10th of each year.
B. Payment upon Separation or Retirement: employees that terminate or retire with the City and have completed their 6-month service period shall be paid for accrued and unused personal leave at their regular rate of pay at the time of termination.
Payment for Unused Leave. Employees shall be paid Fifty Dollars ($50) per day for each unused accumulated sick leave and personal days (e.g. not used for service credit or retirement) upon retirement. Employees who retire shall receive a 6% maximum increase in total compensation for the year. If any payment for unused sick leave or retirement bonus is in excess of the 6% cap, the overage shall be paid on or before September 15 of that year unless declared illegal by the TRS rules and regulations.
