Vacation and Personal Leave. Employee shall be entitled to twenty (20) paid time off days for each twelve (12) consecutive calendar monthly period during the Employment Period, to be taken in accordance with the vacation accrual schedule, if any, and carried over only to the extent set forth or otherwise permitted in Company’s personnel policies or employee handbook.

Vacation and Personal Leave. The University provides employees with Vacation and Personal Leave for their use in renewing their physical, psychological, and mental vigor, their enthusiasm for their work, and in satisfying personal needs. The design of the Leave contemplates that each employee will use a sizable amount of his/her available Leave for vacation and rest while reserving smaller increments for personal and family reasons. Vacation and Personal Leave is earned for each hour in pay status exclusive of overtime by each employee in a Trainee, Apprentice, Provisional, Learner, Inter or Status appointment. The amount of Vacation and Personal Leave earned is based upon the hours in pay status (exclusive of overtime) and the number of service years completed. The University will make every effort to accommodate individual employee’s requests for vacation, personal leave, sick leave, and other leave for which the employee is otherwise eligible, while also taking into consideration any competing requests by other bargaining unit employees and the operational needs of the University. Requests for emergency vacation or personal leave for unexpected personal reasons will not be denied without valid operational reasons. The University shall have the right to inquire into the nature of the emergency and to request documentation to substantiate the emergency which shall be supplied upon return.
Vacation and Personal Leave. Consistent with current policies applicable to ACPS senior administrative personnel, the Division Superintendent will receive a total of 18 calendar days’ vacation leave, and 4 days personal leave, annually, exclusive of legal holidays. The Board agrees that the Division Superintendent will be granted liberal use of this vacation and personal leave with reasonable advance notice to the Board Chairman. When the Division Superintendent is on leave he will not be expected to engage in or respond to administrative matters except in the case of a bona fide emergency. The Division Superintendent may carry over from one year to the next vacation and personal leave on a basis consistent with the policies which apply to ACPS employees generally, provided however, that no more than 21 days of vacation leave may be accrued. The Division Superintendent may elect to receive a cash payment for up to 12 annual leave days per year, at a per diem rate calculated by the Division Superintendent’s then-current base salary divided by 240 days.

Vacation leave with pay is granted to full-time, permanent AAGs, at the rate of one and one-quarter (1 ¼) work days per month, for a total of fifteen (15) days per year. Each “day” will be computed at eight (8) hours. Such AAGs are eligible to begin taking paid vacation after completing six (6) months of service. Eligible AAGs employed on less than a full-time basis earn vacation leave for continuous service prorated in proportion to the amount of time actually worked. Requests for vacation and personal leave should be made to the Department Head as far in advance as possible. Such requests will be approved based on the operating needs of the department and agency.

The actual number of hours earned varies depending on the full-time weekly work schedule of the classification, with each day equal to one-fifth (1/5) of the weekly work schedule. **The maximum hours are based on each day of leave being equal of 8.4 hours or one-fifth (1/5) of the current full-time work schedule of forty-two (42) hours per week.
D) An employee may use earned vacation and personal leave during his/her first six (6) months of pay-status service.
E) Vacation and personal leave may be taken in tenth-hour increments.
F) Hourly employees will be paid vacation and personal leave at their hourly rate for their regularly scheduled hours of work, exclusive of overtime and other premiums.
G) Subject to the operational needs of the University, the department will schedule the vacation of employees in order of seniority. In doing so, the University will strive to respond to vacation requests submitted by employees as soon as practicable and will endeavor to honor the employees' requests for specific vacation periods.
H) When vacation leave is necessary to handle urgent personal or emergency situations that are beyond the control of the employee and arise too suddenly to permit advance approval, the employee may be granted post-approval by his or ...
Vacation and Personal Leave. Section One. Full-time permanent employees shall accrue vacation leave at the rate of one and five- sixths (1-5/6) days (or 14.667 hours) for each completed calendar month of full-time service for a total not to exceed 22 days in any twelve-month period. Such leave shall start to accrue on the first working day of the calendar month and is credited to the eligible employee on the completion of the calendar month. No such leave shall accrue for any calendar month in which an employee is on leave of absence without pay for more than five (5) working days.
