Payment of Overtime or Compensating. Time Off (a) Overtime may be compensated in pay or Compensating Time Off at the equivalent rate, as agreed between the Supervisor and Employee before the overtime is worked. (b) Where the granting of Compensating Time Off is agreed to, it will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time normally no later than March 31 for work performed in the 12 month period ending December 31. (c) Should this not be possible, the Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the Employee receives payment at the applicable rate by April 30 unless the Employee and the Supervisor agree to extend the period for the taking of Compensating Time Off. (d) Upon termination, an Employee will be paid for outstanding accumulated overtime.

Payment of Overtime or Compensating. Time Off Overtime may be compensated in pay or compensating time off at the equivalent rate. The Employee will notify the Supervisor of the choice of overtime as pay or compensating time off. If the Employee chooses the option of pay, the Supervisor may choose to approach another Employee to work the overtime opportunity. If compensating time off is selected by the Employee, it will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time normally not later than March for work done in the twelve (12) month period ending December Should this not be possible, the Supervisor will ensure that the Employee receives payment at the applicable rate by April unless the Employee and her Supervisor agree to extend the period for the taking of compensating time. It is agreed that an Employee may carry over up to ten hours of overtime for compensating time off purposes from one fiscal year to the next. Upon termination an Employee will be paid for outstanding accumulated overtime.

  • Compensation for Overtime Assigned overtime is designated as those hours over the regular hours of work which are requested of the employee by management. Assigned overtime worked shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Compensating Time Off ‌ At the time an employee is required or requested to work overtime, the employee may opt for compensating time off at the applicable overtime rate in lieu of overtime pay. If an employee opts for compensating time off in lieu of overtime pay, the time shall be taken at a time mutually agreed to by the employee and the Employer and shall be taken within 24 calendar weeks of the occurrence of the overtime. The Employer will make a reasonable effort to allow time off when requested by the employee. If such time off is not taken by the end of the 24 week period, overtime at the applicable overtime rate shall be paid on the employee's next regular paycheque.

  • Calculation of Overtime If the overtime work has been carried out before as well as after the regular working hours during a certain day, the overtime periods shall be added together. Only full half hours are included in the calculation.
