Permissive Leave. A permissive leave is one which may be granted at the discretion of the District. To request such a leave the Unit member must submit the appropriate documentation for the leave and comply with all other requirements in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. Denial of a permissive leave shall not be grounds for a grievance.

Permissive Leave. Principals shall permit a teacher to leave his/her school for medical emergencies, to watch his/her children in school-related activities or attend parent-teacher conferences. The teacher is responsible for obtaining another teacher to watch his/her class. A teacher may use such permissive leave up to three (3) occasions per year for not more than one (1) hour per occasion. A total of no more than three (3) hours may be distributed in hourly increments to these occasions per school year. Permissive leave shall not be deducted from any other leave.
