Personal or Educational Leave. In instances where the work of an Employer will not be seriously handicapped by the temporary absence of an employee, the employee may be granted personal leave of absence without pay or educational leave without pay not to exceed one (l) year.
Personal or Educational Leave. A personal leave of absence may be granted for personal or educational reasons for a period of up to six (6) months, provided such leave does not jeopardize Medical Center services. An additional six (6) months of such leave may be approved by the Administrator.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. After completion of a period of personal leave of absence, the employee shall be entitled to return to the organizational unit, status and position held immediately prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. If the employee's position is abolished during any such leave, he/she shall be notified and allowed to exercise his/her rights under the Seniority Article of this Agreement.
