POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS. A. All openings for summer school and evening school positions and for positions under Federal programs will be adequately publicized by the Superintendent and/or their designee in each school building as early as possible, and teachers who have applied for such positions will be notified of the action taken regarding their applications at least thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of the program, whenever possible.
POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS. All openings for Summer School and Evening School positions and for positions under Federal programs will be adequately publicized by the Superintendent in each school building as early as possible and teachers who have applied for such positions will be notified of the action taken regarding their applications as early as possible. Positions in the Xxxxxxx Summer School and Evening School and positions under Federal Programs will, to the extent possible, be filled first by regularly appointed teachers in the Xxxxxxx Public Schools. In filling such positions, consideration will be given to a teacher's area of competence, major and/or minor field of study, quality of teaching performance, attendance record, and length of service in the Xxxxxxx Public Schools. Also, assignments made in Summer School, Evening School and tutoring shall be made after consideration is given to all applicants. Applicants for all Summer School and Evening Positions will be informed of the action taken on their application once a decision has been made.
POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS. A. All openings for such positions will be publicized adequately by the Superintendent in each school as early as possible, and notice of appointments to said positions shall be posted in each school as appointments are made. Under normal circumstances, summer school openings will be publicized no later than the preceding May 1.
B. In filling such positions, first consideration will be given to the Methuen professional staff with reference to the teacher's competence for the particular position; major, or minor, field(s) of study; quality of teaching performance and previous service in the Methuen Summer School or Evening School teaching experience.
POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS. A. All openings for summer school and evening school positions and for positions under Federal programs will be adequately publicized by the Superintendent in each school building as early as possible and teachers who have applied for such positions will be notified of action taken regarding their applications as early as possible.
B. Regular positions in the Westfield summer school and evening school and positions under Federal programs will be filled first by regularly appointed teachers in the Westfield School System. This shall not preclude the Committee from employing outside personnel who through special qualifications would enrich the program.
C. Teachers with proficient previous Westfield Summer School or Evening School teaching experience shall have first preference.
POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS. 16.1 Reasonable advance notice of openings for positions in any summer school, evening school or under Federal programs will be given to the Association. Consideration in filling such openings will be given to an applicant's professional background, experience, length of service and other relevant considerations. A teacher applicant shall be notified of the action taken with respect to his or her application as soon as reasonably possible.
POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS. 1. Notice of all openings for Summer School/Summer Services and Evening School positions and positions under federal programs shall be given by posting a notice there of via email as early as possible; not later than May 1 as to Summer School/Summer Services positions that have then been determined and not later than June 1 for Evening School positions that have then been determined.
2. In filling summer and evening school positions and federal program positions, consideration shall be given to an applicant's area of competence, major and/or minor field of study, quality of teaching performance, attendance record, previous experience in the school or program in question and length of service in the Scituate Public Schools. When other factors are substantially equal, preference in appointment will be given to educators within the Scituate Public Schools.
POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS. 14.1 All openings for summer school and evening school positions and for all positions available under Federal Programs will be adequately publicized by the Superintendent on the faculty board. Such announcements will be publicized as early as possible so that teacher applications may be evaluated and teachers selected may be notified in advance. Teachers making application for such positions must do so with the understanding that insufficient enrollment at the commencement of the course may result in the cancellation of such program. If a teacher reports for opening day of summer school or evening school and class is canceled, a teacher will be paid one day of pay as outlined in Appendix "F" in accordance with the number of classes he/she was assigned for the opening day.
14.2 Positions in the Blue Hills Regional summer school and evening school positions under Federal programs will, to the extent possible, be filled first by regularly-appointed teachers when such teachers are qualified for the program offered.
14.3 In filling such positions, consideration will be given to a teacher's area of competence, major and/or minor field of study, quality of teaching performance, attendance record and length of service in the Blue Hills Regional School District.
14.4 The District School Committee reserves the right to employ outside qualified teachers or to split an assignment among other qualified staff members of the Regional School Faculty when such an additional assignment would impose an unreasonable work load on the faculty member involved. This consideration is essential so as to ensure the highest quality instruction within the regular school program. The District School Committee will consider a teacher applying for both an evening school assignment and any additional special teaching assignment beyond their regular day as an unreasonable work load.
POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS a. All openings for summer school and before/after school positions and for positions under Federal programs will be emailed to staff as early as possible and teachers will be notified of the action taken regarding their applications as early as possible.
b. Under normal circumstances, summer school and before/after school openings will be publicized as soon as possible before the commencement of such programs, and teachers will be notified of the action taken as soon as possible before the commencement of such programs.
c. Such positions shall be filled first by regularly appointed teachers at the school in accordance with section d below.
d. In filling such positions, consideration will be given to a teacher's area of competence, and quality of performance. If all other qualifications are substantially equal, positions will be filled on the basis of length of service.
POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS. A. All vacancies and all newly-created positions for summer school, evening school, etc., and the Federal or State programs, together with qualifications and duties, will be adequately publicized. Notice of vacancies and newly-created positions will be posted by the Superintendent of Schools on the teachers' bulletin board in every school for a minimum of five (5) school days.
B. Notice of all vacancies and all newly-created positions, together with the qualifications and duties of said positions, will be mailed to the President (or designee) and Secretary (or designee) of the Xxxxxx Teachers' Association. All notices shall be dated, posted, and mailed as of the same day.
C. All vacancies and all newly-created positions shall not be filled on a permanent basis until the expiration of ten (10) days after the date of posting, and no temporary appointment will be made until the position has been posted.
D. All applications for such vacancies shall be submitted in writing to the Superintendent of Schools.
E. Positions in the Xxxxxx summer school and evening school, and positions under Federal programs will, to the extent possible, be filled first by regularly appointed teachers in the Xxxxxx Public Schools.
F. In filling such positions, consideration will be given to a teacher's area of competence, major and/or minor field of study, quality of teaching performance, attendance record, length of service in the Xxxxxx Public Schools, and, in regard to summer school or evening school positions, previous summer school or evening school teaching experience.
POSITIONS IN SUMMER SCHOOL, EVENING SCHOOL, AND UNDER FEDERAL PROGRAMS. 22:1 It is agreed by the Superintendent and Committee that all professional openings for summer school and evening school positions and positions under federal programs will be publicized in each school building by the Superintendent and/or the Director of the specific program as early as possible and that unit B personnel, who apply for such positions, will be notified of the action taken -regarding their application as early as possible. However, it is understood that no implied preference will be given to Unit B personnel over personnel from Unit A or any other qualified applicant.
