Notice of Openings. Notice of any opening for a bargaining unit supplementary pay position shall be posted in the school in which the opening occurs if the position is open only to employees in that school. If the supplementary position is opened to personnel outside the school, the position shall be advertised in all schools and departments. All qualifications being essentially equal, preference in making supplementary appointments shall be given to applicants within the district.
Notice of Openings. Notices of openings creating transfer opportunities will be posted via email to all District staff, posted in faculty room in each building, Superintendent’s office and the District website during the school calendar year and during the summer, for five (5) school days prior to the final date for submitting applications, except in cases of emergency. Employees who wish to apply for the posted position(s) shall submit their written applications to the Superintendent, or his/her designee, within five school days of posting.

Each Agency/Facility shall post on appropriate bulletin boards a listing of those bargaining unit positions or other such positions which reasonably might be expected to provide promotional and lateral transfer opportunities for the bargaining unit members that the Agency or Facility intends to fill at that time.

Notice of Openings. Vacancies within the bargaining unit will be posted internally and externally for five (5) days, with current unit members given first consideration. Persons within the association shall be notified and shall be given an opportunity to apply for said position. The school district will select the most qualified candidate. Notification shall be given to the building xxxxxxx of each building and shall be given prior to posting the opening through any other means. Should the opening occur during the period when school is not in session, notification will be sent to the stewards at their home address. The association shall notify each building principal and the district office of the designated president.
Notice of Openings for summer school positions shall be posted as soon as it is known what courses will be offered. Local qualified staff applications to fill such openings shall be given primary consideration.

If the Fire Chief determines that there should be a permanent promotion to ranks covered by this Agreement of a member(s) covered by this Agreement, he/she shall post a notice of said vacancy for a period of no less than thirty (30) days prior to the closing of the application period.
