Posting of Position Openings. 1. All teaching openings for certified members, regardless of position, time of year, or whether the opening implies a promotion, shall be posted on at least one bulletin board in every building, except as noted in Section A (4) below.

Posting of Position Openings. A. All openings for positions paying extra compensation and all openings for administrative and supervisory positions shall be posted by the Superintendent in accordance with the procedures indicated in Paragraph B of this Article. Notice of all position openings shall be posted for at least ten (10) days prior to the final date for submission of applications. The notice shall be posted in each school and a copy sent to the Association. A reasonable effort shall be made to forward a copy of the posting to any staff member who is absent during the posting period due to extended illness or leave status. The notice shall include the final date for the submission of applications, the date by which applicants shall be notified as to their acceptance or rejection, the qualifications and the duties of the position, and the rate of compensation. In the event that any revision is made in the provisions of this notice, a new notice shall be posted for at least ten (10) days. During this time, additional applications shall be accepted. Each applicant shall receive acknowledgment of the receipt of the applicant’s application stating the date the application was received. All subcontracted educational services proposed to be supplied by a private organization shall be posted for at least ten (10) days prior to entering into an agreement with such an organization. The posting shall provide a description of the educational services and facilities, if any, to be provided. Members of the Association bargaining unit shall have the opportunity to bid competitively for the proposed contract. Such proposals shall be submitted in writing within the ten (10) day posting period.

  • Posting of Positions Notice of any opening for a promotional position shall be posted in all schools and departments by the Division of Human Resources & Equity.

  • Filling of Positions All eligible employees under Section 3 who have made a timely interest bid, and meet the minimum qualifications, shall be given consideration and may be appointed to the opening prior to the consideration of other non-interest bidding applicants and prior to filling the vacancy through other means. The Appointing Authority shall not be arbitrary, capricious, or discriminatory and must have a legitimate business reason to reject all of the interest bidders. Seniority of the interest bidders shall not be a factor in appointing employees from among the interest bidders. All interest bidders shall be notified orally or in writing, which may include electronic mailing, as to the status (either under consideration, acceptance, or rejection) of their interest bid in a timely manner. If the vacancy is not filled by an employee under this Section, then it shall be filled in the following order:

  • Posting of Vacant Positions Positions that are not filled through placement of employees from the layoff list or internal transfer list will be posted for a period of at least seven (7) calendar days, during which time, internal and external applicants may apply. The posting will include, at a minimum, a description of the work to be performed, the requirements of the position, the rate of pay and the shift.

  • Elimination of Positions Existing positions of special responsibility shall not be eliminated or changed without prior consultation with the Association.

  • Posting of Seniority List The Administration shall post the seniority list twice annually by October 1 and March 1 of each work year. The seniority list shall be posted on the designated bulletin board in each building/work site and will indicate, by area of certification, license, or entry-level requirement, the first day worked, the date of Board resolution to hire, and the contract status (limited or continuing) of each employee. Said list shall be provided by the Superintendent to the Association President on or before the date of posting.

  • EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL 7.1 We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of Our obligations under these Terms that is caused by an Event Outside Our Control.
