Leave Status. An employee who is granted a paid leave of absence shall not be eligible for any other paid leave(s) provided by this Article during the period of such approved leave unless the employee presents supporting evidence acceptable to the District.
Leave Status. If an employee refuses to go on a leave status or refuses to request paid or unpaid leave, the Employer may place the employee on an unpaid leave or disability separation. Such leave shall continue for a period of two (2) years unless the employee is certified as being able to return to work by a physician of the employee’s choice. If the employee is not able to return to work by the end of that two (2) year period, he or she shall be deemed permanently separated from employment with the Employer.
Leave Status. Bargaining unit members who are in job sharing positions shall be considered on leave status for that portion of their assignment that is not full-time. Participants shall not lose full-time tenure or seniority status they have accumulated in the District.
Leave Status. The employee will be considered to be on active status where paid leave is used concurrently with unpaid family leave. On the date after the employee has used all eligible accrued benefits available, the employee shall be considered to be on unpaid leave.
Leave Status. Vacation leave shall accrue to an employee while on a Leave with Pay status or on Industrial Accident Leave.
Leave Status. Employees on leave without pay are eligible to continue their health and welfare benefits while on leave, provided they prepay the premiums in full by September 1st of the year the leave commences.
Leave Status. Where the status of leave requested cannot be determined until the Public Service Staff Relations Board or an Adjudicator has given a decision, leave without pay will be granted pending final determination of the appropriate leave status.
Leave Status. In cases where leaves have been requested and require a minimum of five (5) days’ notice, the Superintendent/designee shall affirm or deny such leave request within ten (10) days after the leave request is submitted to the employee's principal or other immediate supervisor.
Leave Status. 13.15.1 Unit members on District-approved leave will maintain their seniority rank in terms of District service unless otherwise agreed.
