Posting, Scheduling. Holiday schedules shall be posted either as part of the regular monthly schedule, or on a quarterly or semi-annual basis. Normally, employees shall not be scheduled to work two consecutive holidays unless emergencies or circumstances beyond the Hospital’s control make it necessary to do so. The Employer shall make every effort to avoid scheduling employees to work two consecutive holidays but will not be required to hire additional staff in order to do so. When it is necessary to modify the holiday schedule, because of an absence, the work will be assigned, within the applicable department or unit, first on the basis of volunteers and secondly on the basis of the least senior employee receiving the assignment; provided, however, that such least senior employee will not be scheduled again to work a holiday due to the absence of the employee assigned to work until all other employees have been so scheduled. Scheduling adjustments which are necessitated by such occurrences will be made no later than one (1) week following the event which caused the need for these adjustments. In units where there are alternative holiday scheduling practices, those practices may continue to exist so long as they are agreeable to the employees, the Union and the Hospital.

Posting, Scheduling. The Employer shall post a vacation scheduling calendar, together with the list of employees and the number of vacation days earned. These items shall be posted by January 15, if possible, but in any event it must be posted no later than March 15, each year. The employee shall schedule at least two weeks of their vacation by April 15. Should an employee fail to schedule at least two weeks, the Employer shall have the option of scheduling for said employee, two weeks of consecutive vacation (unless the employee requests a division between the weeks) during the period May 1 through Labor Day, provided such option is exercised by May 1. Failure of the Employer to schedule shall terminate the option.

  • Self Scheduling The Home and the Union may agree to implement a self-scheduling process. Self-scheduling is the mechanism by which employees in a Home create their own work schedules. The purpose of self scheduling is to improve job satisfaction and quality of work life for the participating employees. Self scheduling requires a collaboration of employees and management to ensure proper coverage of the Home and to meet the provisions of the Collective Agreement. It is agreed that self scheduling will be negotiated locally by the Home and the Union and will include a trial period. Each Home must have the majority agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to agree on a trial period of up to six months. Once the trial period is complete, each Home must have a minimum of 66⅔% agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to continue with the new schedule on a permanent basis.

  • Work Scheduling Except at the request of an affected employee, no employee shall have the number of hours they are normally scheduled to work reduced as the result of the use of non-permanent employees such as, but not limited to: seasonal, intermittent, student interns, interns, interim, established term, or temporary employees, due to the performance of such employee’s duties by the nonpermanent employee.

  • Shift Scheduling The parties agree that the following shift schedules are examples of the type which will provide the flexibility required to meet the needs expressed above provided the provisions of Article VII Section 4 (b) (i) and (ii) have been met.

  • Overtime Scheduling (A) It is the intent of the City, consistent with efficient and effective operation of the Division of Police, to distribute in an equitable manner, all pre-scheduled overtime among all members. Recognition will be given to the qualifications of the members and the requirements placed on the City by any third party funding sources. Any complaints by members that pre-scheduled overtime is not being equitably distributed among all qualified members as described above may be brought by the Lodge directly to the Chief's attention at Step 3 of the Grievance Procedure and shall also be a proper subject for discussion in a Labor Relations Committee meeting. Inability to work a prescheduled overtime assignment due to illness or death in the family or injury will not require the member to charge such absence against sick leave or injury leave.

  • Operating Schedule Purchaser shall, be- fore commencing operations, provide in writing an annual Operating Schedule of anticipated major activities and needs for logging Included Timber, such as logging, road maintenance, Scaling, and road construction, including construction staking under B5.212 and material delivery under B5.22. Upon reasonable notice to Forest Service, such schedule shall be subject to modifications necessi- xxxxx by weather, markets, or other unpredictable circum- stances.   • PTO Scheduling a. By November 15 of each year, the Company will post on appropriate bulletin boards a schedule showing the PTO days, which are available to each employee for the upcoming year.

  • Weekend Scheduling It is the policy of the Employer to schedule those nurses who so desire every other weekend off, with the exception of those nurses who have signed an authorization to work consecutive weekends. Nurses who have volunteered to work consecutive weekends may withdraw such authorization upon two (2) weeks’ written notice prior to the date a new schedule must be posted.

  • Product and Service Offerings The Products and services available under this Contract are set forth herein and specified in Appendices C and D which may be amended during the contract term to incorporate new Product or service offerings, price revisions or deleted items. This Contract is limited to sale, installation and maintenance of Product (see also 4.2 Service Offerings). Leasing is not permitted at this time. The Commissioner reserves the right to amend the Contract at any time to incorporate lease offerings. Offering updates should be submitted under the Contract as soon as possible after they are announced by Contractor in accordance with the terms of Appendix H. GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
