Holiday Schedules. A. Legal holidays shall be as follows: January 1st, known as “New Year’s Day” Third Monday in January, known as “Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xxx” Third Monday in February, known as “Presidents’ Day” Last Monday in May, known as “Memorial Day” July 4th, known as “Independence Day” First Monday in September, known as “Labor Day” November 11th, known as “Veterans Day” Fourth Thursday in November, known as “Thanksgiving Day” Friday following the fourth Thursday in November, known as “ Day after Thanksgiving” December 25th, known as “Christmas Day” Four hours on the afternoon of December 24th (known as Christmas Eve) or four hours on the afternoon of December 31st (known as New Year’s Eve). * * NOTE: If an employee works both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the employee shall be entitled to overtime as provided for in Article VIII, Section F. for the four (4) hours holiday worked. Any such other days as may be authorized by resolution of the City Council.
B. If a legal holiday falls on a day on which a provisional, probationary, permanent, or exempt employee would normally work, he or she shall be entitled to the day off with pay. If he or she works, the employee will be entitled to additional compensation for time worked at one and one-half (1½) times the base pay, with the exception of those employees in the BCEA professional/supervisory unit who will receive their normal rate of pay.
C. If any of the legal holidays under Article V, Section B fall on an employee’s day off, the nearest preceding or following work day, respectively, shall be the employee’s day off. If he or she works, the employee shall be entitled to additional compensation as provided in the rule on overtime, except if the employee is part of the BCEA professional/supervisory unit, except if the employee is part of the BCEA professional/supervisory unit.
D. Employees will only receive overtime compensation, as provided in Article VIII Section F, if they are required to work on a City designated holiday. If an employee is required to work on a Federal or State holiday that is not designated as a City holiday, the employee will not receive overtime pay for working on the Federal or State holiday.
Holiday Schedules. Supervisors and managers are not to change any employee’s RDO solely because the employee’s day off falls on a County paid holiday.
Holiday Schedules. Prior to the adoption of the holiday schedule by the Merced County Board of Education in June, CSEA and the Employer agree to meet and negotiate the holiday schedule. These will be made available to all employees as soon as possible after adoption and will consist of not less than twelve (12) days per year for a twelve (12) month employee pursuant to the District calendar, except as otherwise stated in Section 5.19.
Holiday Schedules. Work hours during spring break or Christmas break will be offered to the most senior employees first.
Holiday Schedules. The Contractor shall observe the same holiday schedule as the King County transfer stations. When observed holidays fall on a regular collection day, the Contractor shall reschedule the remainder of the week of regular collection to the next succeeding business day, which shall include Saturdays. The Contractor may not collect Single-family Residence and Multifamily Garbage, Recyclables, or Compostables earlier than the regular collection day due to a holiday. Commercial collections may be made one (1) Day early only with the consent of the Commercial Customer. Holiday scheduling information shall be included in written program materials, on the Contractor’s website, on the Contractor’s social media accounts, and to general news media in the Service Area by the Contractor at least one (1) week but not more than two (2) weeks prior to the holiday affecting service.
Holiday Schedules. 10.2.1 The Contractor is not required to provide Collection Service to Residential Customers on a Holiday (e.g., Christmas Day).
10.2.2 If a Residential Curbside Customer’s Scheduled Collection Day for Garbage falls on a Holiday, the Contractor does not need to collect the Customer’s Garbage until the next Scheduled Collection Day for the Collection of the Customer’s Garbage. Consequently, the Customer will receive Collection Service for Garbage only one time during the week of the Holiday. On the Customer’s next Scheduled Collection Day for Garbage, the Contractor shall collect all of the Garbage that is Set Out in Plastic Bags and Garbage Cans at Curbside, in addition to collecting the waste in the Customer’s Garbage Cart (if any).
10.2.3 If a Residential Curbside Customer’s Scheduled Collection Day for Bulky Waste, Yard Waste, or Source Separated Recyclable Materials (i.e., items that are collected once each week) falls on a Holiday, the Contractor may delay the Collection of such material until the next Scheduled Collection Day for that type of material. Consequently, the Customer will not receive Collection Service for such material during the week of the Holiday.
10.2.4 Notwithstanding the other provisions in this Section 10.2, the Contractor may propose and the Administrator may approve alternate schedules for the Collection of Residential Waste immediately before and after a Holiday.
Holiday Schedules. Hospital:
1. The following tracks shall be used for scheduling purposes only: Track A New Year’s Day Independence Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Eve Track B Memorial Day Labor Day Christmas Day New Year’s Eve
2. Employees assigned to work Track A generally shall be scheduled off work on Track B; employees assigned to work Track B generally shall be scheduled off work on Track A. The track designation shall rotate annually thereafter and will posted by the Hospital.
3. The track scheduling set forth in this section shall take precedence over all other scheduling including weekends, vacations, etc. For instance, if an employee is assigned to work pursuant to this article, he/she must work even though he/she would otherwise be scheduled off because of vacation or the weekend assignment schedule. The Employer shall make reasonable efforts to schedule the minimum number of employees on a holiday, while considering patient care needs and past call-out experience, to ensure that the maximum number of employees are scheduled off. Holiday scheduling options for compensation are listed in Section 7.5.
4. If an employee does not work when assigned and/or expected to work pursuant to this Article, the employee may be scheduled for any other holiday listed above.
5. Nothing in this Article shall prohibit the Hospital from scheduling or assigning employees as it determines appropriate in the event circumstances occur such that the Hospital determines that additional nurses are needed (such as leaves of absence, vacancies, unscheduled personal leave, etc.). If the Hospital determines that additional work hours or employees are needed on a holiday, the hours shall be assigned in the following order: 1st Volunteers will be sought; if no volunteers then, 2nd Nurses who had previous holiday absence will be scheduled 3rd Employer may schedule agency staff before others are assigned provided that the assignment of the volunteer(s) is determined by the Hospital to be operationally sound and cost prudent. When circumstances permit, the Employer may utilize voluntary on-call instead of assigning employees to work the holiday. No employee shall be required to work five holidays in a year if another employee in the unit or department works fewer than four holidays.
