Preliminary Design Submittal. ‌ Contractor shall provide a detailed preliminary design submittal within sixty (60) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. This submittal shall be reviewed with MTD to verify that all aspects of Contractor’s design are in conformance with the specifications. The preliminary design submittal shall include a complete description and functionality of each AIM system and system component, updates to any technical information submitted with the proposal, and a detailed project schedule. Some of the key elements of the preliminary design submittal shall include but are not limited to: • A draft software requirements specification document for any new functionality that is being developed for AIM with an emphasis on the user interfaces and interfaces to external systems. • Data sheets for all major hardware and off-the-shelf software components. • Description of the computer subsystem including servers, dispatcher workstations, monitoring workstations, yard workstation, interfaces, data archival, TDB, and installation information. • Description of radio or wireless data communications systems including anticipated coverage maps. If applicable, the coverage map shall indicate the overlap coverage areas and areas where phasing delay will inhibit data. • A description of the methodology for maintaining MTD’s current route and schedule database in Trapeze and its interface with AIM. This description shall include how the database will be edited, handled, and interfaced to AIM; and the methodology for providing the database onboard each bus for tracking route and determining schedule adherence. • Scaled drawings showing details of the passenger information electronic display sign hardware. The submittal shall also include a description of the display interface with the wired and/or wireless data network used to provide data to the sign and the details for the data network. • Mockups of web pages for the time of arrival passenger information including a description of the website, a list of the pull down menus and items, a sample map display time of arrival tables. • A description of the CAD user interface including AVL map displays, tabular displays, incident reports, SAS functionality, data communication functions, fleet management reports, AVL playback, incident reports, sample screens, a list of the pull down menus and items. • Scaled drawings of the MDT with the exact key labeling and typical screen displays; and a description of the operator interface with the ...
Preliminary Design Submittal. Consultant shall prepare and submit five (5) hard copies and electronic media of the 30% Preliminary Design deliverable to the City. The submittal will include, but is not limited to the following items: • Plans/Drawings at the 30% design level consisting the number provided below. • Geotechnical Investigation Report, including existing pavement recommendations. • Preliminary cost estimate broken out by bid item and funding sources. • Preliminary drainage memorandum. • Updated design schedule. • Permit Matrix and status. • Summary of utility installations and potential conflicts and/or relocations. • Summary of right-of-way and easement required to accommodate the design footprint. • Meeting minutes and pertinent correspondence, including coordination with City divisions and other agencies. This task will include:
Preliminary Design Submittal. The intent of the Preliminary Design Submittal is to provide a formal opportunity for WSDOT, the CITY, the Design Builder, various design team disciplines, and other approved PROJECT stakeholders to review the construction documents in order to provide input addressing whether the plans reflect Design Builde Contract requirements for construction; whether design features are coordinated; and whether there are no fatal flaws within a given discipline or between disciplines. The contents of the Preliminary Design Submittal will vary by discipline as specified in the RFP or as mutually agreed by members of the applicable Task Force.

  • Preliminary Design Phase During the Preliminary Design Phase, the CONSULTANT shall, if requested by the CITY and accepted by the CONSULTANT as part of a Services Authorization:

  • Schematic Design Documents In accordance with the approved Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule and based upon approval of and comments made by the Owner regarding the Concept Design Studies, the Design Professional shall prepare and submit to the Owner Schematic Design Documents, including drawings and outline specifications. These documents shall represent a further development of the approved design concept, providing additional detail and specificity regarding the intended design solution. Typically, all such documents shall be drawn to scale, indicating materials and assemblies, as appropriate, to convey the design intent and to illustrate the Project’s basic elements, scale and relationship to the Site. All major pieces of furniture and equipment to be fixed or supplied by the CM/GC shall be illustrated to scale. (See ASTM Standard Practice E 1804-02, August 2007, Sections 6.3, 8.2 and 8.3 for guidance on information which is generally developed in Schematic Design.)

  • 253 Design Change (a) “Design Change” is a change in work and/or materials shown in the Schedule of Items and described in Plans or specifications that has been mutually agreed to in writing or ordered by Contracting Officer. Changes of a minor nature (such as adjustment in horizontal and vertical alignment, that do not exceed specified tolerance, necessary to maintain or balance earthwork quantities substantially as designed) and variation in quantities, as described in B5.251, shall not be considered Design Changes.

  • Rental Rates and Wage Rates for Change Orders As soon as is practical, but prior to the completion of the Construction Preparation Period and in any event prior to the commencement of any Work on the Site, the Contractor shall submit in accordance with the style and format of a specimen to be furnished by the Owner for consideration of the Owner the following: (1) a proposal for rental rates on heavy construction equipment that shall apply in the event Change Order Work is performed, and (2) a proposal for wage rates for the types of project labor that shall apply in the event of the execution of any Change Order Work. Under penalty of false swearing, a principal of the contracting firm shall certify that the proposal for rental rates and proposal for wage rates do not exceed current costs for like services. The Owner will in no event consider a rental rate in excess of eighty percent of the rate set forth in the latest edition of the "Compilation of Nationally Averaged Rental Rates for Construction Equipment" of the Associated Equipment Distributors unless the rates proposed in excess of eighty percent are supported by proof satisfactory to the Owner that the excess rates are reasonable. If the equipment is owned by the Contractor the costs shall be charged at a maximum of eighty percent of market monthly rental rates for the amount of time used. If applicable, transportation costs may be included. The decision of the Owner shall be final, binding and conclusive on all parties. Rental rates shall be payable only for the actual time the equipment is required on the Site.

  • Project Schedule Construction must begin within 30 days of the date set forth in Appendix A, Page 2, for the start of construction, or this Agreement may become null and void, at the sole discretion of the Director. However, the Recipient may apply to the Director in writing for an extension of the date to initiate construction. The Recipient shall specify the reasons for the delay in the start of construction and provide the Director with a new start of construction date. The Director will review such requests for extensions and may extend the start date, providing that the Project can be completed within a reasonable time frame.

  • Schematic Design See Section 2, Part 1, Article 2.1.4, Paragraph 2.1.4.2.

  • Ownership of Drawings and Specifications All Drawings, Specifications and copies thereof furnished by the A/E are to remain A/E’s property. These documents are not to be used on any other project, and with the exception of one contract set for each party to the Contract, are to be returned to the A/E, upon request, following completion of the Work.
