Principles for Scheduling. Preference of hours of work and days off work by seniority.  As much as possible days of work and days off should be consecutive.  Fair and Equitable distribution of hours in order of seniority.  Consistency.  Length of shifts (Airport Specific).  The Employer will make reasonable efforts to minimize split shifts but the parties recognize that operational requirements including flight schedules may cause the Employer to schedule split shifts.  Work schedules will be posted (with a copy to the Unit Chairperson) in advance of the first day of the weekly schedule as follows. Schedules will be posted at all times in areas that are accessible to employees. - Normally, fourteen (14) days in advance. - In the event that a new schedule must be posted due to a change in operational requirements, seven (7) days in advance. - In cases where a change is required for reasons beyond the Employer's control, the above time limits will not apply.  Schedules will be posted at all times in areas that are accessible to employees.  If a need to move someone exists then the junior person must move, provided they have the qualifications to perform the work, and subject to the need to have officers of both sexes to perform the required work. While the schedules are in effect, the Committee may discuss ideas for improving the morale and functioning of the operation including, for example, regular rotation of screening officers between posts such as Domestic, Transborder, and HBS.

In cases where a change is required for reasons beyond the Employer’s control, the above time limits will not apply.  Employees will be scheduled to work at all locations on a rotational basis as determined by the Employer subject to operational requirements, in a consistent and equitable manner The Employer will ensure that the skills and ability for HBS, PBS, NPS, and NPSV are maintained through the assignment of duties over a two (2) week period.  The Union recognizes that on a day to day basis it may be necessary to re-assign an individual from his or her scheduled area to meet operational requirements.   • PTO Scheduling a. By November 15 of each year, the Company will post on appropriate bulletin boards a schedule showing the PTO days, which are available to each employee for the upcoming year.

  • Self Scheduling The Home and the Union may agree to implement a self-scheduling process. Self-scheduling is the mechanism by which employees in a Home create their own work schedules. The purpose of self scheduling is to improve job satisfaction and quality of work life for the participating employees. Self scheduling requires a collaboration of employees and management to ensure proper coverage of the Home and to meet the provisions of the Collective Agreement. It is agreed that self scheduling will be negotiated locally by the Home and the Union and will include a trial period. Each Home must have the majority agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to agree on a trial period of up to six months. Once the trial period is complete, each Home must have a minimum of 66⅔% agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to continue with the new schedule on a permanent basis.

  • Shift Scheduling The parties agree that the following shift schedules are examples of the type which will provide the flexibility required to meet the needs expressed above provided the provisions of Article VII Section 4 (b) (i) and (ii) have been met.

  • Overtime Scheduling (A) It is the intent of the City, consistent with efficient and effective operation of the Division of Police, to distribute in an equitable manner, all pre-scheduled overtime among all members. Recognition will be given to the qualifications of the members and the requirements placed on the City by any third party funding sources. Any complaints by members that pre-scheduled overtime is not being equitably distributed among all qualified members as described above may be brought by the Lodge directly to the Chief's attention at Step 3 of the Grievance Procedure and shall also be a proper subject for discussion in a Labor Relations Committee meeting. Inability to work a prescheduled overtime assignment due to illness or death in the family or injury will not require the member to charge such absence against sick leave or injury leave.

  • Nonpayment and Procedures for Disconnection 12.1 If a Party is furnished Interconnection Services under the terms of this Agreement in more than one (1) state, Section 12.2 below through Section 12.19 below, inclusive, shall be applied separately for each such state.
