Distribution of Hours. With the understanding of the intent to restore laid off employees to pre-layoff earnings, reasonable efforts will be made by the Employer to offer opportunities and reasonable efforts will be made by the employee to accept work to regain hours of work and earnings as follows: (i) Employees who have been laid off, as defined in Article 19.01, and who have had a reduction in hours shall receive any extra shifts that will bring their hours up to the number of guaranteed hours they had prior to being laid off. Part- time staff, who are not regularly scheduled to work, shall receive replacement hours in order of seniority only after employees who are on layoff have received their hours first. (ii) Employees, who as a result of layoff, have assumed a position within the same department that has a lesser wage rate than the position from which they were displaced, shall receive any additional available work in the department in the position from which they were displaced, provided such work can be scheduled in advance.

Distribution of Hours. It is the intention of the Company to distribute any additional ordinary hours in a fair, equitable and transparent way. For the purposes of rostering, distribution of hours will not distinguish between Level 1, 2A, 2B or 2C Casuals. Additional ordinary hours in the first instance will be offered to part time Team Members. Where business needs present a requirement for Casual (including supplementary labour hire) additional ordinary hours it will be distributed in the following manner; i. When a need for immediate Casual additional ordinary hours is identified Level 2 Casuals that are on site will be given preference followed by Level 1 Casuals that are on site followed by supplementary labour hire workers that are on site; ii. Where a need arises to call Casuals in for additional ordinary hours Level 2 Casuals will be given preference prior to Level 1 Casuals, and followed by supplementary labour hire workers. Part time and Casuals will need to confirm acceptance of additional ordinary hours within 30 minutes of notification or unless otherwise specified in the notification. Hours that are not accepted/confirmed by directly engaged Casuals will only then be distributed to supplementary labour hire.

Distribution of Hours a) The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to distribute hours of work for part-time employees in a given classification as equitably as possible amongst the staff that are willing and able to do the work. b) Where the Employer requests that the employee report for non-scheduled duty and such request is not received by the employee one hour in advance of the starting time required, said employee will not be docked time should they be unable to arrive for the shift for the first forty-five (45) minutes.
