Professional Absence. The district encourages employees covered by this agreement to pursue school-district-related professional growth activities as approved by the school district. Persons covered by this agreement may be allowed to attend professional meetings and other activities of a professional nature with full pay when authorized by the school district. When personnel attend meetings on behalf of the school district, expenses shall be paid by the school district, if provided for and authorized in the budget. Such authorization should be obtained from the employee's supervisor in advance of the meeting to be attended.

Professional Absence. Subd. 1. Teachers may be allowed to attend, with full pay, professional meetings and other activities of a professional nature upon the advance approval of a site's staff development committee. That committee shall determine in advance what expenses, if any, shall be paid by the site.
Professional Absence. Professional employees must give sixty (60) days' notice of intent to leave employment in order to run for or to serve in public or political office. The employee shall retain all seniority obtained prior to his or her leaving employment. Seniority shall accumulate for the period of said absence. Said leave of absence shall extend for one (1) year or the term of office, whichever is greater.

  • Professional Leaves 1. Professional Leaves are to be used by an employee to gain knowledge for the position contracted through Bath Local Schools. The employee must request Professional Leave through the employee kiosk. Upon approval, the employee may be permitted to attend the Professional Meeting and will be paid at the regular rate.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part- time employees who are elected to or appointed to the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario subject to the following limitations:

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • PROFESSIONAL AUTONOMY 1. Teachers shall, within the bounds of the prescribed curriculum, and consistent with effective educational practice and the Evaluation Criteria, Local Appendix A, have individual professional autonomy in determining the methods of instruction, and the planning and presentation of course materials in the classes of pupils to which they are assigned.

  • Professional Day The period set forth in the Professional Day Article.

  • PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR A. Teachers are expected to comply with reasonable rules, regulations and directions presently in effect and from time to time adopted by the Board, or its representatives, which are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Leaves and Absences A. 1) Ten (10) days of sick leave shall be credited annually to each teacher in accordance with Section 1154A of the School Code. The total unused portion of the annual sick leave allowance shall be permitted to accumulate indefinitely. Xxxx leave accumulated prior to a leave of absence shall be credited to the teacher upon return from the leave.
