Protective Eyewear. Racquet sports players are required to wear eye protection on the courts.
Protective Eyewear. Protective Eyewear provisions shall be applied consistent with City Safety and Health Policies and Procedures Manual Item V001 "Personal Protective Equipment," dated August 2003. Year in manual is defined as fiscal year.

Protective Eyewear. The Employer will pay one hundred percent (100%) of the costs for one (1) pair of non-prescription safety glasses per year. Replacement glasses will be provided at no cost provided the previously issued pair is damaged and turned in. Should the temperature in an employee(s) work area exceed 100 degrees fahrenheight on a particular day during the months June, July, August and September (based on the Humidex Scale readings), employee(s) will be allowed extended rest periods and lunch breaks. Where an employee becomes ill as a result of heat prostration, the Company will excuse an employee(s) from work in the same manner as any other employee who suffers an illness at work. The employee’s wage for the day in question will cease when they leave the plant as outlined above. For purposes of determining the need for Heat Relief, the parties agree to rely on the Humidex readings as confirmed by the Humidex Scale of the Environment of Canada Weather Station located at the London Airport as published throughout a particular day in question.
Protective Eyewear. The Engineer agrees to provide prescription safety glasses for mechanics, blacksmith, and bridge crew personnel, pursuant to the following conditions:
A. Employees shall be responsible for their own prescriptions;
B. The cost to the Employer shall not exceed thirty-six ($36.00) dollars;
C. Employees must submit a written request indicating the circumstances warranting the issuance of safety glasses; The issuance of prescription safety glasses shall be at the discretion of the Employer. However, reasonable requests shall not be refused.
Protective Eyewear. Users of tanning equipment are required to wear eye protection during such use.
Protective Eyewear for tanning beds is required at all times. Tanning minimum age for access of the tanning beds is 18 years of age. Minors that are 17 years old may only tan with a parent or guardian written consent.
Protective Eyewear. 1. Effective January 22, 2023, employees who are required to where prescription glasses and whom the appointing authority has determined must wear protective eyewear in the performance of their job, shall be eligible to be reimbursed up to $200.00 for prescription safety glasses.
2. In order to be eligible for reimbursement, the safety glasses must meet the specific eye protection requirements of the individual employee’s classification, as determined by the department.
a. Such requirements shall be based on the specific job classification and its functions.
3. Employees shall only be eligible for reimbursement once every two (2) fiscal years.
Protective Eyewear. Employees who are required to wear protective eyewear of any type will be furnished such equipment by TVA. All safety eyewear furnished by TVA shall conform to the specifications standard, American National Standard Practice for Occupational and Educational Eye and Face Protection (Z87.1-1968). Annual employees whose vision requires correction will be furnished corrective-protective eyewear. In such cases, the cost of the prescription lenses and the frame will be borne by TVA. The cost of any eye examination and fitting of the prescription glasses by an eye specialist (ophthalmologist, optometrist, or optician) will be borne by the employee. When an employee's vision changes and corrective-protective eyewear having a different correction factor is required, it will be furnished by TVA. TVA will also replace at its expense any corrective- protective eyewear broken, damaged, or lost in the normal course of the employee's work. This will include damage due to normal wear and deterioration. Corrective-protective glasses lost off the job will be replaced by the employee at his or her expense; however, the employee may purchase such replacement glasses and frames through established TVA procedures. If an employee desires more than one pair of corrective-protective glasses on his or her own prescription, the employee may purchase at his or her expense such additional glasses through established TVA procedures.
