Provincial Negotiating Committee. (a) In the event that a Nurse is a member of the Provincial Negotiating Committee (“PNC”), the Employer will make every reasonable effort to accommodate time off for the Nurse to participate in Union caucus meetings and direct negotiations with any multiple employer group bargaining table, subject to operational requirements. (b) At the request of the Nova Scotia Nurses’ Union, the Employer will maintain pay at the regular rates and benefit coverage for a member of the PNC and the Employer will invoice the Nova Scotia Nurses’ Union for all such costs, unless a cost sharing arrangement is agreed to by the Employer(s) and the Union.

Provincial Negotiating Committee. (a) In the event a Nurse is a member of the PNC, the Employer of the individual PNC member shall grant a leave of absence for time spent in PNC caucus meetings and in direct negotiations with any Employer, subject to operational requirements such as the Employer’s ability to obtain a replacement and at no additional cost in premium pay. (b) When the PNC member is participating in direct negotiations with any Acute Care employer, the Employer will continue pay and benefits for shifts absent during such direct negotiations. (c) At the request of the NSNU, the Employer will maintain regular rates and benefit coverage for members of the PNC and will invoice the NSNU for such costs while the PNC member is engaged in Union caucus meetings and in direct negotiations with Employers other than Acute Care Employers.

The Union shall pay the invoice within thirty (30) days of its receipt.

(b) In the event a Nurse is a member of the PNC, the Employer shall grant a leave of absence for time spent in PNC caucus meetings and in direct negotiations with any Employer, subject to operational requirements such as the Employer's ability to obtain a replacement and at no additional cost in premium pay. (c) When the PNC member is participating in direct negotiations with the VON the Employer will continue pay and benefits for shifts absent during such direct negotiations. (d) At the written request of the Nova Scotia Nurses' Union, the Employer will maintain regular bi-weekly pay and benefits for shifts not worked for a member of the PNC. The Employer will subsequently invoice the Nova Scotia Nurses' Union for such costs for PNC meetings in accordance with the reimbursement formula as set out in Article 7.10.

  • Local Negotiating Committee (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of Negotiating Committee members as outlined in the local appendix to represent their respective bargaining units. This committee shall be comprised of the unit chairperson in addition to (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of committee members to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the Bargaining Unit who have completed their probationary period. (b) Where the Hospital participates in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined by the central parties. (c) Where the Hospital does not participate in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement. (d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to and including conciliation. Hours compensated during negotiations will be credited towards part-time employees seniority in accordance with this article. (e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any CAW National or Local representatives when engaged in local negotiations with the Hospital.

  • Union Negotiating Committee Leave of absence shall be granted to not more than seven (7) employee representatives selected to negotiate the renewal of the Collective Agreement for necessary time off including travel time, direct negotiating time, and necessary preparation time. The Union shall reimburse the College for all pay during such leave except for the days scheduled by the parties for direct negotiations and up to a maximum of ten (10) days if required, for meetings of the Union Negotiating Committee to prepare for and to complete bargaining.

  • Negotiating Committee The Hospital agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee comprised of representatives of the Association for the purpose of negotiating a renewal agreement. The Steering Committee shall meet at least quarterly, and shall document their meetings in written minutes, to: (a) review the sales, marketing and distribution of the Product in the Territory, including a review and update of the Sales, Marketing and Distribution Plan at least annually; (b) discuss actions to xxxxxx the attainment of sales objectives; (c) review current marketing, distribution, sales and pricing strategies, including amount and form of discount and rebate programs; (d) coordinate activities between Sankyo and Cygnus, its Affiliates, designees, licensees and/or its sublicensees who are promoting the Product for Cygnus pursuant to Section 2.1(ii); (e) review Sankyo’s efforts to develop and implement strategies of institutional, governmental and managed care marketing and contracting; (f) review Cygnus’ obligations under Section 5.1 and receive updates from Cygnus on other significant activities relating to its obligations under Section 5.1, including an annual review of Cygnus Intellectual Property Rights in the Territory; (g) review Cygnus’ proposed product development as set forth in Section 5.1(h) in light of marketing issues regarding the Product; (h) review Sankyo’s obligations under Section 4.1; (i) review, and if necessary, amend the schedule set forth in Exhibit C hereto; (j) resolve any disputes pursuant to Section 7.1; and (k) agree upon the initial Sales, Marketing and Distribution Plan. Each party may change its members of the Steering Committee at any time upon written notice, and each party will cause its members of the Steering Committee to act reasonably, in good faith and consistent with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. The Steering Committee may take action only by the unanimous written consent of all members, as indicated by all members signing the written minutes. If an issue remains unresolved after good faith consideration by the Steering Committee for thirty (30) calendar days, any Steering Committee member may submit it to the Executive Officers of the parties for resolution. The initial Sales, Marketing and Distribution Plan shall be mutually agreed upon by Sankyo and Cygnus.
