PTA Meetings Sample Clauses

PTA Meetings. All such meetings are voluntary. Teachers with evening responsibilities that preclude their attendance at these meetings may be absent. The Administration and Union wish to make the general statement that these meetings are an important avenue through which the professional staff can interpret constructively the schools program to the community, and we jointly recommend that teachers try to attend.

PTA Meetings. Teachers are encouraged to join, support, and attend the meetings of the Parent-Teacher Association. Teachers shall attend back-to-school meetings, meetings when conferences are scheduled with parents, meetings when classroom visitations are the major part of the program, or other meetings the program of which requires their active participation. When a teacher is unable to attend a PTA meeting which involves parent conferences, he or she shall establish an alternate plan for meeting with those parents who desire to take advantage of such a plan. This plan must be approved by the principal, and the parents of all the teacher’s students shall be notified of the alternate plan. Teachers assigned to more than one school are encouraged to establish alternate plans for parent conferences for each of the PTA’s involved on a rotating basis unless circumstances require more attention in a particular school.

PTA Meetings. PTA meetings should be recognized by members of the licensed teaching staff as a professional responsibility. Attendance at PTA meetings will not be mandatory. Licensed teachers will make a reasonable effort to attend the annual Fall Open House in their building. A licensed teacher, not able to attend the annual Fall Open House, will make a reasonable effort to inform the building administrator.
PTA Meetings. All teachers will be required to attend Open House during the fall semester. Teachers will attend two (2) additional PTA meetings or PTA sponsored activities, as determined by the principal, each year. Principals retain the right to ensure adequate staff representation at each meeting or activity.
PTA Meetings. Nurses’ attendance at PTA meetings provides a vital link in promoting the total educational program to the parents. It gives an opportunity for parents and nurses to explore jointly their responsibility to their children and to public education. Nurses should be present when the nature of the program indicates a need for their participation. Should professional or personal responsibilities conflict, the problem should be resolved with the local principal. Nurses are encouraged to participate in the activities of their PTAs.

  • TAC Meetings The goal of this subtask is for the TAC to provide strategic guidance for the project by participating in regular meetings, which may be held via teleconference. The Recipient shall: • Discuss the TAC meeting schedule with the CAM at the Kick-off meeting. The TAC shall: • Help set the project team's goals and contribute to the development and evaluation of its statement of proposed objectives as the project evolves. • Provide a credible and objective sounding board on the wide range of technical and financial barriers and opportunities. • Help identify key areas where the project has a competitive advantage, value proposition, or strength upon which to build. • Advocate on behalf of the project in its effort to build partnerships, governmental support and relationships with a national spectrum of influential leaders. • Ask probing questions that insure a long-term perspective on decision-making and progress toward the project’s strategic goals. • Review and provide comments to proposed project performance metrics. • Review and provide comments to proposed project Draft Technology Transfer Plan.   • Open Meetings (a) All scheduled meetings of the Employer shall be open meetings, except in those cases where personnel, financial or other matters require that the meeting be considered confidential.

  • Joint Meetings 10.1(a) Should either party desire to discuss with the other any matter affecting generally the relationship of the parties, a meeting of Union and management representatives shall be arranged upon request of either party. Such meeting shall take place at a time mutually convenient to both parties. Any use of Company time for attendance at such meetings shall be arranged in advance by mutual agreement.

  • Staff Meetings Staff meetings, whether in the store or off the premises, shall be considered as time worked and paid for accordingly, except meal meetings at which the attendance is voluntary. Such meal meetings in excess of three (3) during each Contract year shall be considered as time worked and paid for accordingly.

  • Other Meetings Other meetings of the Board shall be held at such times and places as the Board, the Chairman, the President or any director shall from time to time determine.

  • Faculty Meetings Principals shall have the authority to schedule necessary faculty meetings; however, such meetings shall be as brief and well planned as possible. Such meetings shall be used for purposes that cannot be accomplished effectively through other means. Faculty meetings shall be scheduled in a manner that impacts teacher planning time to the least degree possible. If more than one faculty meeting is held in a month, the purpose of the meeting shall be announced to the faculty in advance.
