Public Safety Services Leave. Employees who participate in community service, which provide for public safety, such as Search and Rescue or Volunteer Firefighting for their own municipality may request leave without loss of straight time earnings or benefits and without loss of seniority when called out for service during working hours.

Public Safety Services Leave. Employees who participate in community service which provide for public safety such as Search and Rescue, Volunteer Firefighting, Armed Forces Reserves shall identify themselves to the employer in writing and outline the expected nature of the community service. When the employee is called out for emergent public safety services which extend into working hours the employee may request a leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority for the time needed to complete the called out service. The employee shall provide documentation confirming the service performed upon request of the employer.

  • Emergency Services Leave 6.17.1 Subject to operational requirements, paid leave of absence shall be granted by the Employer to an Employee who is an active volunteer member of State Emergency Service, St Xxxx Ambulance Brigade, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Xxxx Fire Brigades, Volunteer Marine Rescue Services Groups or FESA Units, in order to allow for attendances at emergencies as declared by the recognised authority.
