Qualification Period. LTD benefits are payable after the employee has been totally disabled and unable to perform the duties of their own occupation for a period greater than six months.
Qualification Period. When an employee is temporarily assigned to the duties of a vacant higher level position, the employee shall, commencing on the eighty-first (81st) hour and effective the first (1st) hour, receive a rate equivalent to that provided for under County promotional rules. To be eligible for the higher rate, the employee must:
1. Be assigned in writing by the department head with the approval of the Personnel Division;
2. Be assigned for other than training purposes;
3. Perform the full regular duties of the higher position;
4. Perform the duties of the higher position for a period of at least 80 work hours, except with an approved interruption. (Holidays shall be treated like weekends or comparable regularly scheduled days off.) An exception to the 80 hour period is if the assignment is to the full duties of crew Lead or equipment Operator then duties must be performed without interruption for a minimum period of forty (40) hours (to qualify for the increased pay rate effective from the first hour);
a. An approved interruption shall be the use of approved leave balances not to exceed an accumulation of 16 hours during the 80 hour qualification period.
b. Returning to the employee’s regularly assigned position for more than 16 accumulated work hours will cause the 80 hour requirement to begin again if full duties of the higher position are resumed.
5. Reestablish his/her eligibility for a higher rate by meeting the above four criteria on a semi-annual basis.
Qualification Period. An employee who is selected for a new position under Section 9.4 will be given a qualification period which shall be the longer of sixty (60) calendar days or two-hundred-thirty-eight (238) compensated hours to demonstrate the ability to satisfactorily perform the required work to Employer standards. An employee disqualified during this period, or who elects to self-disqualify, will be returned to the employee's prior wage and, when possible, job title and location but will not thereafter be eligible to bid for any job within the same or a higher job group for six (6) months.
Qualification Period. A. If an employee is awarded a new position, that employee shall have one hundred eighty (180) calendar days within which to qualify for such new position.
B. In the event that employee is determined not to be qualified, which such determination made solely by the Authority, that employee shall be returned to the position the employee formerly held, and the vacancy shall be reposted.
C. Those who may have filled positions created by the movement of the affected employee shall likewise be returned to their former position and gain no right to the job taken until such time as the one hundred eighty (180) calendar day qualification period with respect to the affected employee has elapsed.

Qualification Period. There is a one-year qualification period. After qualifying, adjunct faculty must have an appointment for the next Academic Year in order to participate. Adjunct faculty who are employed for one year and do not obtain an appointment for the next Academic Year are not qualified to participate. Service which occurred prior to the effective date of the collective bargaining agreement may satisfy the qualification period.5 A winter intersession appointment shall be deemed to be a Spring semester appointment.
Qualification Period. The illness period begins with a qualifying period. During the qualifying period, no sick pay is paid out. The qualifying period amounts to 20% of the employee’s average weekly working hours.
