Recognition for Past Experience. All RNs hired during the term of this Agreement shall be given full credit (year for year) for continuous recent experience when placed on the wage scale. For the purpose of this section, continuous recent experience as a registered nurse shall be defined as clinical nursing experience in an accredited hospital or skilled nursing facility (including temporary employment with an employer) without a break in nursing experience that would reduce the level of nursing skills in the opinion of the Employer.
Recognition for Past Experience. All nurses hired during the term of this Agreement shall be given full credit for continuous recent nursing experience when placed on the wage scale. For purposes of this section, continuous recent nursing experience shall be defined as experience in an accredited hospital, ambulatory care setting, home health agency or equivalent health care experience (including temporary employment with an employer, without a break in nursing experience which would reduce the level of nursing skills in the opinion of the Employer).
Recognition for Past Experience. Employees hired during the term of this Agreement shall be compensated at a wage level in accordance with the following understanding:
a. One (1) to three (3) years past experience, at least the first year rate of pay.
b. Four (4) to eight (8) years past experience, at least the second year rate of pay.
c. More than eight (8) years past experience, at least the third year rate of pay.
Recognition for Past Experience. Full-time and part-time nurses hired during the term of this Agreement shall be compensated in accordance with the following plan:
a. All nurses hired during the term of this Agreement shall be given full credit for continuous recent experience when placed on the wage scale.
b. For purposes of this section, continuous recent experience as a registered nurse shall be defined as clinical nursing experience in an accredited hospital or skilled nursing facility (including temporary employment with an employer) without a break in nursing experience which would reduce the level of nursing skills in the opinion of the Vice President of Clinical Service.
Recognition for Past Experience. All employees hired during the term of this Agreement shall be given full credit for continuous recent experience when placed on the wage scale. For purposes of this section, continuous recent experience shall be defined as experience in an accredited hospital, ambulatory care setting, home health agency or equivalent health care experience (including temporary employment with an employer, without a break in experience which would reduce the level of clinical/technical skills in the opinion of the Employer).
Recognition for Past Experience. Nurses hired during the term of this Agreement shall be given full credit for continuous recent nursing experience when placed on the wage scale. Recent continuous experience shall be defined as clinical nursing experience in an accredited hospital, ambulatory care setting, home health agency or equivalent experience acceptable to the Employer without a break in experience as a registered nurse which would reduce the level of nursing skills in the opinion of the Employer. Nurses have been given full credit for continuous experience as per the definition above based upon the nurse’s resume and/or application at the time of hire. Incomplete applications or materials not contained in the resume and/or application at the time of hire were not and will not be considered. Nurses hired on or after April 1, 2004 will have recourse to the grievance procedure if they believe the Employer did not give full credit consistent with Article 8.4.
Recognition for Past Experience. All employees hired on or after October 5, 2003, shall be compensated in accordance with the following plan:
8.3.1 Employees with one (1) or more years of continuous recent experience shall be employed at not less than step one (1) of the wage schedule.
8.3.2 Employees with two (2) or more years of continuous recent experience shall be employed at not less than step two (2) of the wage schedule.
8.3.3 Employees with four (4) or more years of continuous recent experience shall be employed at not less than step three (3) of the wage schedule.
8.3.4 Employees with six (6) or more years of continuous recent experience shall be employed at not less than step four (4) of the wage schedule.
8.3.5 Employees with ten (10) or more years of continuous recent experience shall be employed at not less than step five (5) of the wage schedule. For purposes of this section, continuous recent experience shall be defined as employment in a comparable job classification or other similar experience without a break in experience which would reduce the level of professional skills in the opinion of the Employer.
Recognition for Past Experience. All employees hired on or after October 5, 2003, shall be compensated in accordance with the following plan:
8.3.1. Employees with one (1) or more years of continuous recent experience shall be employed at not less than step one (1) of the wage schedule.
Recognition for Past Experience. For purposes of placement on the wage scale (Appendix “A”), employees hired after the ratification date of this Agreement shall be credited year-for-year for related continuous recent work experience. For the purposes of this Section, continuous recent experience shall be defined as relevant experience in the health care field without a break in experience which would reduce the level of skills as determined by the Employer.
Recognition for Past Experience. Full-time and part-time nurses hired during the term of this Agreement shall be given full credit for continuous recent nursing experience when placed on the wage scale in Section 11.1, Wage Rates. For purposes of this Section, "continuous recent nursing experience" is defined as direct patient care nurse experience (e.g., acute care hospital, clinic, nursing home, home health, hospice, etc.) as determined appropriate in the opinion of the Hospital's Assessment Team (Hiring Director/Manager, Director of Patient Care Services and the Nurse Recruiter). Other nursing experience may also be credited as determined appropriate in the opinion of the Hospital's Assessment Team.
