REHEARSALS DURING PERFORMANCE WEEKS a. The ARTIST may be called upon to rehearse during each Performance Week without the payment of additional compensation provided that: i. During Performance Weeks the ARTIST may be scheduled to rehearse and perform not more than thirty (30) hours per week. If an ARTIST is so scheduled, they will make a reasonable effort to alert EMPLOYER of said scheduling but failure to notify the EMPLOYER will not remove the EMPLOYER’s obligation to pay applicable Overtime Payments. ii. An ARTIST who is performing, cast in, or designated by the EMPLOYER as a Cover for a Performance shall not be required to rehearse in excess of two (2) hours on a performance day unless there is a Dress Rehearsal, when the ARTIST shall not be required to rehearse in excess of three (3) hours except as set forth in (iv) below. The EMPLOYER shall schedule Dress Rehearsals on non-performance days whenever possible. iii. An ARTIST who is cast in or designated by the EMPLOYER as a Cover for a technical rehearsal or Dress Rehearsal shall not be required to rehearse in excess of five (5) hours on such rehearsal day, except as set forth in (iv.) below. iv. During a Performance Week, there shall be no rehearsals on a Sunday on which there is a Performance. In lieu of Sunday rehearsals, an additional one-half (1/2) hour rehearsal shall be added to each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of the Performance Week in question. v. The foregoing notwithstanding, any ARTIST not cast or designated by the EMPLOYER as a Cover for such Sunday Performance may be required to rehearse for no more than three (3) hours on such Sunday, which rehearsal(s) shall not extend past the time of the closing curtain of said Performance. vi. The daily schedule, including class, on days on which there is an evening Performance or technical rehearsal or Dress Rehearsal shall not extend beyond three (3) hours prior to the scheduled call for all ARTISTS performing, cast in, or designated by the EMPLOYER as a Cover for such Performance, technical rehearsal or Dress Rehearsal. vii. For those ARTISTS not performing or cast in or designated by the EMPLOYER as a Cover for such Performance, technical rehearsal or Dress Rehearsal, the daily rehearsal schedule shall not extend beyond 7:00 PM (seven). 2. REHEARSALS DURING PERFORMANCE WEEKS. After a production has opened, the EMPLOYER shall be entitled to not more than four (4) hours of rehearsal for such production during a Performance Week without additional compensation to ARTISTS. No rehearsals shall be scheduled within two (2) hours of any ARTIST’S make-up call prior to a dress rehearsal or performance, except in emergency cases or unless requested by the ARTIST. REHEARSALS DURING PERFORMANCE WEEKS. During a performance week, ARTISTS may rehearse a maximum of six (6) hours on a non-performance day and a maximum of four (4) hours on a performance day for a combined (rehearsal and performance) weekly total of thirty (30) hours maximum, without overtime compensation. ARTISTS performing Leading or Featured roles shall not be required to rehearse on a performance day except in emergency cases or unless otherwise requested by ARTIST. No rehearsals shall be scheduled within two (2) hours of any ARTIST’s make up call prior to a dress rehearsal or performance, except in emergency cases or unless requested by the ARTIST. For the purpose of calculating total weekly hours, a performance call shall be computed as a minimum of four (4) hours in length, including the time specified in this Agreement for dressing and undressing and the application and removal of makeup.
REHEARSALS DURING PERFORMANCE WEEKS. In addition to the general rehearsal provisions above, the following provisions shall also apply specifically to rehearsals during performance weeks. (1) Artists singing Leading or Featured Roles shall not be called for any rehearsal on a performance day except in emergency cases or if such Artist requests rehearsal. No Weekly Artist shall be required to rehearse other than on stage within 24 hours prior to a performance in which they are scheduled to perform a Leading Role or a Featured Role, except at the request of the Artist or in emergency cases. (2) The call for a dress rehearsal shall start not less than ½ hour prior to the call to report on-stage and shall be included in computing the total hours of rehearsal permitted hereunder. In addition, ½ hour following dismissal from the stage for the removal of costumes and make-up shall accrue as part of the rehearsal hours.
REHEARSALS DURING PERFORMANCE WEEKS. In the event that a performance call is less than three (3) hours, the additional time may be utilized for notes or rehearsal after 15 minutes is given for the removal of costumes. On two show days, rehearsal is limited to one-hour and only to works currently being teched/performed (within a two-week span) to ensure dancers are not required to shift focus between performances. This time may be scheduled immediately following a performance at the performance site or after travel time at The ATLANTA BALLET studios and will be posted to the dancer schedule following standard provisions for posting rehearsal schedules. Atlanta Ballet may schedule a fifteen-minute note session on performance days after Company Class. Note sessions shall be counted as part of the work week. Artists are not expected to dance full out. The Parties acknowledge that this provision is designed to provide the Company with flexibility to explore innovative programming options and agree that it will be subject to ongoing evaluation and adjustment, as needed, to ensure the health and safety of dancers. a.
