Reimbursement for Personal Property a. The Board shall reimburse an employee for the cost of replacement or repair of equipment, teaching aids or other personal material to be used in the performance of their work provided that such article has been registered with the appropriate Administrative Officer. Such reimbursement shall not exceed the insurance deductible or the cost of replacement/repair, whichever is the lesser.
Reimbursement for Personal Property. Any employee who suffers an accident in the performance of authorized job duties resulting in loss through damage of personal affects usually and ordinarily on his/her person while on the job may file a written claim to the Division Director which shall include the following:
Reimbursement for Personal Property. If so recommended by the Superintendent, the COMMITTEE may reimburse teachers for any item of clothing or other personal property that is damaged, destroyed, or stolen within the building during and in the course of his/her employment. The amount of such reimbursement shall depend upon the value of the damage or loss, but in no event shall any such reimbursement exceed one hundred dollars ($100) unless such loss is covered by insurance or reimbursement is obtained from other sources.
Reimbursement for Personal Property. The Board shall provide reimbursement for all administrators for personal property loss or damage to administrators' property due to theft, fire, willful or malicious damage, or other acts of vandalism which are directly related to the administrator's professional assignment or duties. All claims, proofs in connection therewith, and other supporting documents shall be presented to the Superintendent. The Superintendent will recommend approval or disapproval and the decision of the Board shall be final and not subject to the grievance procedure.
Reimbursement for Personal Property. The Governing Board may provide by regulation for the reimbursement of any person or persons for the loss, destruction, or damage by arson, burglary or vandalism of personal property used in the academic facilities of the District. If the Board approves any such regulation, reimbursement shall be made only when approval for the use of the personal property in the academic facilities was given before the property was brought to the site and when the value of the property was agreed upon by the person or persons bringing the property and the administrator, or person appointed by him or her for this purpose at the time the approval for its use was given. The Governing Board may establish a maximum value of reimbursement which will be paid.
Reimbursement for Personal Property. Section 58.1 Any employee who suffers an accident in the performance of authorized job duties resulting in loss through damage of personal affects usually and ordinarily on his/her person while on the job may file a written claim to the Division Director which shall include the following:
a. The employee presents a complete written report of the circumstances of the loss through damage;
b. The employee certifies that such damage is not because of fault, intent or negligence on the part of the employee;
c. The employee presents written proof of value;
d. The employee certifies that replacement or repair of the property is not reimbursable through either public or private insurance coverage.
Section 58.2 The claim shall be investigated by the Division Director or designated representative to substantiate or disprove the facts indicated on the claim. The Division Director or designated representative shall approve or disapprove payment based on the investigation conducted. The Division Director or designated representative shall notify the employee of the results of the investigations. Where a claim is denied, the reasons for such denial shall be provided to the employee. The claim shall be limited to the actual cost as substantiated by receipts for replacement or repair of the damage.
Section 58.3 No claim for loss shall be accepted by the Agency for special or unusual equipment, property or clothing which was not previously approved for use by the Agency in writing.
Section 58.4 In cases of theft of personal property of employees for reasons other than specified in Section 1 of this Article, the Agency will notify the local police if the employee requests.
Reimbursement for Personal Property. When personal property of the employee is damaged in the line of duty without fault of the employee while the employee is in the line of duty, the Employer may provide for payment of the cost of replacing or repairing such property. If the property is covered by insurance, but not fully, the employee may provide for payment of the difference between the insurance settlement and the actual value of cost of repairing. A limit of $500 is established for payment of such damaged or stolen property.
Reimbursement for Personal Property. 13.9.1 The District shall reimburse unit members for personal property, including property used for classroom instruction, which is lost, damaged, or stolen within the scope of employment and without negligence on the part of the unit member. Reimbursement shall be offset by any payments made under a unit member's own insurance policy. Reimbursement for claims of less than ten dollars ($10.00) will not be considered, and claims shall not exceed four hundred dollars ($400). Materials used for classroom instruction under this provision must have the prior approval of the principal or site administrator.
13.9.2 The District will bear up to four hundred dollars ($400) of cost, not covered by insurance, of replacing or repairing property of an employee such as eyeglasses, hearing aids, dentures, watches, or articles of clothing necessarily worn or carried by the employee, when such items are damaged in the line of duty under Article 13.1. Receipts shall accompany requests for reimbursement(s).
Reimbursement for Personal Property. The Board shall reimburse the Employee up to two hundred fifty dollars ($250) per school year for irreparable damage to the Employee’s clothing, jewelry, prescription glasses or hearing aids, provided such damage is caused by a student or students and occurs in the course of the Employee’s SEDOL duties. In no event shall the total annual reimbursement be greater than two hundred fifty dollars ($250) per school year. In order to be eligible for reimbursement, the Employee shall submit a written incident report to the Superintendent or designee no later than five (5) school days after the occurrence.
Reimbursement for Personal Property. The Board shall reimburse the Employee up to three hundred and twenty-five dollars ($325) per school year for irreparable damage to the Employee’s clothing, prescription glasses or hearing aids, provided such damage is caused by a student or students and occurs in the course of the Employee’s SEDOL duties. In no event shall the total annual reimbursement be greater than three hundred and twenty-five dollars ($325) per school year. The Board shall not reimburse an Employee for irreparable damage caused by students to any jewelry worn by an Employee, except that a fitness/activity tracker bracelet shall not be considered jewelry. In order to be eligible for reimbursement, the Employee shall submit a written incident report to the Superintendent or designee no later than five (5) school days after the occurrence.
