Replacement Pay. When an Employee is assigned to replace another person in an out-of-scope position at a more senior level for one (1) workday or longer, she shall be paid an additional two dollars ($2.00) per hour for all hours worked during such assignment.
Replacement Pay. If an employee replaces an employee who is in a higher classification but does not qualify for acting pay under this Article, then that employee shall be paid in accordance with the scale applicable to the higher classification. Subject to Clause 35.08, the employee shall not be paid at an increment that is lower than his current rate.
Replacement Pay. In case of extended illness lasting a month or more the City will pay the employee who fills in for the absent employee at the employee’s current wage rate if the employee performs all of the absent employee’s functions.

Replacement Pay. If a food service manager is off from work for reasons of sickness, leave of absence, etc., excluding school vacation time, for a period of five (5) consecutive working days or more, his/her replacement receives the appropriate food service manager allowance retroactive to the first day of the substitution period.
Replacement Pay. Associates who are called to work as replacements for absent associates shall receive pay for the entire scheduled work shift if they are notified less than one (1) hour before and report to work less than one-half (1/2) hour after starting time of the work shift.
Replacement Pay. ARTICLE 18 PREMIUM PAY
(a) When an Employee is assigned by her immediate supervisor to replace another Employee in a higher paid classification within this Collective Agreement for a full shift or longer, she shall be paid the basic rate of pay for the classification in which the Employee is relieving for the full shift.
(b) When an Employee is required temporarily to perform the duties of a lower paid classification, her basic rate of pay will not be changed.

An employee assigned on a temporary basis to a position in a higher classification for a period of more than five consecutive working days is compensated at the higher rate of pay retroactive to the first day of the assignment. Step placement for the temporary assignment corresponds with the step placement of the employee’s normal assignment. An employee asked to perform the work of an employee outside of the unit for a period of more than five consecutive working days may request consideration for a pay rate different from the employee’s regular pay rate. The Employer’s decision to permit or deny the employee’s request is not subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure. A part-time employee temporarily working in a higher classification is compensated at the higher rate of pay for the length of the assignment.

Step placement for the temporary assignment corresponds with the step placement of the employee’s normal assignment. An employee asked to perform the work of an employee outside of the unit for a period of more than three consecutive working days may request consideration for a pay rate different from the employee’s regular pay rate. An employee has the right to refuse to work outside of his or her classification. The Employer’s decision to permit or deny the employee’s request is not subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure. A part-time employee temporarily working in a higher classification is compensated at the higher rate of pay for the length of the assignment.
