Representation at Meetings. Upon request, an employee shall be entitled to have present a representative of the Association during any meeting to discuss any disciplinary action.
Representation at Meetings. Upon request, a bargaining unit member shall be entitled to have present a representative of the Association during any investigatory meeting which will or may lead to disciplinary action against the bargaining unit member by the Board. When a request for such representation is made, the meeting will be delayed, but not more than five (5) work days until such representative of the Association is present.
Representation at Meetings. 1. The chairperson of the bargaining unit or his designee may be granted time off with pay for the purpose of representing the Paraprofessionals before local, state, and national organization.
2. The total number of days used for this process shall not exceed two (2) days in any school year. Application will be made to the Superintendent prior to the day(s) requested.
Representation at Meetings. An employee will have the right to have an EM-SPARK representative present whenever asked to come to meet with their supervisor. This especially pertains to any meetings that could lead to discipline under Article 18 – Corrective Action or probationary release in Article 15 – Probationary Period. This generally does not pertain to general daily work direction, such as, bus duty, lunch supervision or assignment of other daily tasks.
Representation at Meetings. In cases where meetings concerning other than subject matter, curriculum, or instruction are called during school time by the New York State Education Department or the New York State Public Employment Relations Board and where the sponsor encourages release of unit members for attendance, such leave may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent to those unit members recommended by the Association.
Representation at Meetings. The Affiliate Organization is strongly urged to have its representatives attend (as a non-voting affiliate organization) the Section meetings for its governing Section, and the Annual Meeting of NYS Hockey.

Representation at Meetings. The Trust will ensure that there is regular attendance by appropriate senior representatives, including an ELT Education Lead and HR representative. Trade unions will ensure that there is regular attendance by one representative from each recognised union; • The quorum for the JNC meetings will be two senior representatives from Delta Academies Trust and at least three members from the Trade Unions (including at least one teaching union and one support staff union); • Substitute representatives shall be permitted on both sides where necessary but each side shall seek to ensure consistency and regularity of attendance where ever possible; • Each side shall be entitled to be accompanied by one adviser with speaking rights; • Membership of each side shall be determined annually and each side shall inform promptly of any changes in representation.
Representation at Meetings. 3.1 The Trust Side will be composed of the HR Director and another senior member of the Creative Education Trust’s Head Office team.
3.2 Each participating trade union will appoint one standing “national” representative for JNC service. Together they will constitute the “Staff Side” of the JNC. The representatives will normally be a paid official or national officer of the particular union, but may also be a lay representative from amongst the Trust’s workforce, properly elected through the unions’ normal processes. Each change of representation will be notified by the particular Union Head Office to the Trust’s Head Office in writing or by email. National representatives will be expected to serve for at least one year.
3.3 Consultation where appropriate will take place through the JNC. Sub groups may be set up by joint agreement to discuss matters affecting specific groups of employees. These sub groups will report back to the full JNC.
3.4 The membership of each side shall be determined annually. Each side shall inform the other side promptly of any changes in representation.
3.5 Substitute representatives shall be permitted on both sides where necessary but each side shall seek to ensure that its nominated representatives attend all meetings.
3.6 One of the appointed union representatives will be elected Staff Side Secretary, in accordance with trade union side rules, from amongst their number. This office-holder, whose name will be notified to the HR Director on an annual basis following appointment, will act as the staff side contact for all communications between the parties.
3.7 The HR Director will act as Management Side Secretary, allowing for the fact that she/he may delegate tasks to named Head Office staff.
3.8 Meetings of the JNC will be chaired by Creative Education Trust.
