Retired Personnel. 1. Retired teachers shall be defined as teachers who are hired by the District for a given period of time to fill a temporary teaching position. They are employed on a part-time basis not to exceed one school year, to be reviewed annually. Reasonable notice and expectation of contract and pay will be given with 30 calendar days notice. If reductions are necessary, in accordance with Article XVI, temporary and retired personnel will be reduced first.
