Notification of Vacancy. When a vacancy exists in an existing civilian job classification or as a result of a new job classification notice of such vacancy shall be posted announcing the vacancy and application process for inspection by Office members. The posting will be for at least 10 days. Employees may also submit requests for any vacant job opening to their respective Bargaining Unit at any time.
Notification of Vacancy. A. Whenever a vacancy in a bargaining unit position shall exist in the school district, which the Superintendent intends to fill, the Superintendent or designee shall publicize the same by e-mailing a written notice of such a vacancy to the President or a designated substitute for the President of the Association and to each building staff list serve. This notice shall set forth a description of and qualifications for the vacancy, including duties, salary and procedure for application. No vacancy shall be filled until qualified personnel have had five (5) calendar days from the date of the posting to make application for such vacancy, except that vacancies occurring after May 31st and before the first day of the school year shall not be subject to this five-day posting period.
B. Any teacher may apply for such vacancy at the Central Administration Office or via the District’s website. In filling such vacancy, the Superintendent agrees to give consideration to the professional background and attainments of all applicants and the length of service to the Bowling Green City Schools. After a vacancy has been posted and filled internally, and the resulting vacancy from the successful internal bidder has been posted and filled until May 31st, then after May 31st , the Board may fill any subsequently resulting vacancy without posting.
Notification of Vacancy. All staff members are encouraged to apply for vacancies in which they are interested and qualified. The Board and Association believe that it is in the best interest of the students and the District for assignments to be made on the basis of qualifications and needs. Whenever there are any vacancies in the District, any teacher may request to fill the position. Notification of such vacancies shall be posted in the school offices and the three (3) plan rooms. If any vacancies occur during the summer vacation, notification will be made by mail at the time of the first pay period following the vacancy.
Notification of Vacancy. A. The Board recognizes that it is desirable in making assignments to consider the interests and aspirations of its members. Requests by a member for transfer to a different class, building, or position shall be made in writing with the Superintendent. The application shall set forth the reasons for the transfer, the school, grade or position sought, and the applicant's academic qualifications.
B. The Association recognizes that when vacancies occur during the school year it may be difficult to fill them from within the District without undue disruption to the existing instructional program. If the Superintendent so determines, such a vacancy may be filled on a temporary or tentative basis until the end of the current year at which time the position will be considered vacant.
C. The Board declares its support of a policy of filling vacancies, including vacancies in supervisory positions, from within its own teaching staff. Whenever a vacancy arises or it's anticipated, the Superintendent shall notify the Association Members and post notice of the same on bulletin board in each school building for one (1) week before the position is filled. The Board, however, shall not be limited in the selection of personnel to the Association, but shall screen all qualified Association applicants to fill any such vacancies. A vacancy shall be defined for purposes of this Agreement as a position presently unfilled, a position currently filled but which will be open in the future, or a new position that is currently not in existence.

Notification of Vacancy a. During the school year, notice of vacancy shall be sent to each school and posted in the faculty room and office for seven (7) school days in advance of filling such vacancy. Said notice shall be posted within ten (10) days upon acceptance of a resignation/retirement of a teacher holding a position which the Board intends to fill.
b. During the summer recess, no vacancy will be permanently filled until the notice has been posted for five (5) work days except from first day of summer recess through the last day of summer recess, during which time the notice shall be emailed.
c. Procedure for filling vacancies occurring during the school year: When an unanticipated vacancy occurs after August 1, the position will be filled by a substitute for the remainder of the school year. That position will be advertised according to the Contract (Section XXIII). The positions which are vacated as a result of the filling of the initial vacancy shall be advertised by the same procedure. The successful candidates will then be notified by mail that they will be hired for those positions, effective the following school year. The final position will then be filled using the procedure in Section XXIII prior to the end of the school year.
d. All postings will be emailed to each bargaining unit member’s District provided email address at the time it is posted as otherwise provided above.
Notification of Vacancy. Within 48 hours, a bona-fide vacancy will be announced to the Orchestra. The Personnel Manager shall choose an audition date that has been approved by the appropriate Audition Committee within one month of notification of vacancy.
Notification of Vacancy. 14 When a position is created or a vacancy arises, the District shall 15 notify via email to their District email account. The internal job 16 vacancy posting/notification period shall be ten (10) working days 17 following notification, unless a shorter time period is agreed upon 18 by the Parties. The job may be simultaneously posted externally.
Notification of Vacancy. 501.1 Notice of any vacancy, certified, classified, administrative or supervisory, shall be posted on bulletin boards accessible to all employees for at least ten (10) work days before the position is filled so that current employees may apply for the position. Current employees who apply will be interviewed to determine qualifications and given consideration for the position before outside applicants may be interviewed.
Notification of Vacancy. All vacancies shall be posted before being filled and seniority shall be a consideration.
