ROSTERED DAYS OFF (RDO'S) General. The parties agree that there are potential benefits for the Company and Employee in allowing greater flexibility in taking RDO's. It is intended that the Company's workplaces may remain open during designated industry RDO's. In December of each year, the company in conjunction with employees shall develop and agree on a calendar of RDOs for the ensuing year, taking into account the particular circumstances of the employer's business. Access to and payment for RDO hours will be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Division applying to the employee at the time of accessing or payment. "Commercial Construction & Other Construction" Work Division Employees engaged in the Commercial Construction and Other Construction Work Division will take RDO's applicable to the building industry. The Company is committed to Employees taking their rostered day off on the day it falls due, however the parties recognise that from time to time the Company may require employees to work their rostered day off. Where this is required the employer and the employee/s concerned may agree to work the Rostered Day Off. Further, where agreement has been reached to work the RDO the employee/s concerned may either bank the day or elect another ordinary working day to be substituted for the scheduled day off. Any substitute day must be taken before the next RDO falls due or alternatively be banked up to a total of 5 days. Where any employee has banked 5 RDO's any additional rostered days off worked shall be paid at the rates prescribed for Saturday work.

ROSTERED DAYS OFF (RDO'S) General. The parties agree that there are potential benefits for the Company and Employee in allowing greater flexibility in taking RDO's. It is intended that the Company's workplaces may remain open during designated industry RDO's. Save for Commercial Construction Work Division (SEQ - $50 million or more or outside of SEQ - $100 million or more), Engineering or in Gladstone, the company, in consultation with its Employees, will develop and agree on a calendar of XXXx, taking into account the particular circumstances of the Employer's business. In the absence of agreement being reached, Employees will work the union ROO calendar until the matter has been resolved in accordance with the disputes procedure. Other than in the case of the RDO calendar, where the arrangement of ordinary hours of work provides for a rostered day off, the Employer and the majority of Employees concerned, may agree to accrue up to a maximum of 5 rostered days off. In the case of the RDO Calendar, an Employee may be asked to work no more than 5 RDOs per calendar year. Where such agreement has been reached, the accrued rostered days off will be taken within 12 calendar months of the date on which the first rostered day off was accrued. Consent to accrue rostered days off will not be unreasonably withheld by either party. Further, provided agreement is reached between the Employer and the majority of Employees concerned, or where the Employer and an individual Employee so agree, another ordinary working day may be substituted for the- scheduled day off. However, any substituted day will be taken within 2 calendar months. Where the Employer wants an Employee or Employees to work on an RDO, the following process shall be followed:

  • Rostered Days Off 36.1 The ordinary working hours shall be worked in a 10 day/2 week cycle, Monday to Friday inclusive with eight hours worked on each of nine days within the cycle and with 0.8 of an hour on each of those days accruing toward the tenth day, which shall be taken as a paid day off. The tenth day will be known as the Rostered Day Off or (RDO).

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Shift Rotation Routine shift rotation is not an approach to staffing endorsed by the Employer. Except for emergency situations where it may be necessary to provide safe patient care, shift rotation will not be utilized without mutual consent. If such an occasion should ever occur, volunteers will be sought first. If no one volunteers, the Employer will rotate shifts on an inverse seniority basis until the staff vacancies are filled.

  • Scheduled Days Off Except in cases of emergency, no employee will be required to return to his/her place of employment on his/her scheduled day off.

  • Posting of Seniority List The Administration shall post the seniority list twice annually by October 1 and March 1 of each work year. The seniority list shall be posted on the designated bulletin board in each building/work site and will indicate, by area of certification, license, or entry-level requirement, the first day worked, the date of Board resolution to hire, and the contract status (limited or continuing) of each employee. Said list shall be provided by the Superintendent to the Association President on or before the date of posting.
