Rules for Floating Holidays. Six (6) Floating Holidays are based on a calendar year (effective January 1, 2000), one earned for each two (2) months actively at work or on paid sick leave. Requests for Floating Holidays shall be made at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Floating Holidays shall be taken at a time mutually acceptable to the employee and the Manager of Property or his/her designate. When a full-time/permanent part-time employee works on the day prior to and the day following a statutory holiday, he/she will be paid their regular scheduled hours for the statutory holiday.

Rules for Floating Holidays. The wages w i l l not be paid under this Agree- ment unless the employee actually takes the time off. Holiday pay shall be calculated at eight (8) times the regular hourly rate paid on the last day worked prior to the holiday or the rate of his permanent payroll position whichever is greater. To be eligible an employee must have been i n the employ of the Company for months OK more. Temporary workers may accumulate this months service by adding broken t i m e within the a t e preceding twelve months.   • Floating Holidays In addition to the authorized days in 9.2. each employee, including each academic employee, shall be authorized two (2) floating holidays of his/her choice per fiscal year.

  • Floating Holiday All employees except intermittent, emergency, and temporary employees shall also receive one (1) floating holiday each fiscal year of this Agreement. However, seasonal employees shall be eligible for only one (1) floating holiday per season and intermittent employees shall receive one (1) floating holiday each fiscal year of this Agreement if they complete ninety-one (91) working days in that fiscal year. Unless waived by the supervisor, the employee must request the floating holiday at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. The Appointing Authority may limit the number of employees that may be absent on any given day subject to the operational needs of the Appointing Authority. Any conflicts for requested holidays shall be resolved on the basis of State Seniority within the employee's work unit. The Appointing Authority shall make a reasonable effort to approve the requested holiday. Floating holidays may not be accumulated. An employee who has not requested the floating holiday by March 1 of each fiscal year or by thirty (30) calendar days prior to the end of an employee's season shall be scheduled to take a floating holiday on a day chosen by the Appointing Authority or be paid for the floating holiday in cash at the option of the Appointing Authority.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Holidays on Saturday or Sunday When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday. When a holiday falls on Sunday, the following workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday.

  • Legal Holidays In any case where the date on which any payment is due shall not be a Business Day, then (notwithstanding any other provision of the Notes or this Indenture) payment need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date on which nominally due, and no interest shall accrue for the period from and after any such nominal date.
