The 'Salary During Leave' clause defines how an employee's salary is handled while they are on an approved leave of absence. Salary During Leave. During the absence of a teacher on sabbatical leave, such teacher shall receive one-half of his/her full basic salary as if he/she were to be in actual service. In addition thereto, the Board shall pay the contribution to the Teachers' Retirement System required of the person on leave computed on the salary of such person for the year immediately prior to the leave. The employee's portion of health and other insurance provided in this Agreement while on sabbatical leave will be paid by the Board.
