SALARY SCHEDULE DEFINITIONS. Effective July 1, 2010, the column headings for the “Certified Salary Index/Schedule” shall be labeled as shown below. Effective July 1, 2010, hours earned for advancement from one column to the next must be earned following the attainment of the appropriate degree. However, teachers who have already accrued semester hours (or equivalent) of coursework shall continue to have all such hours counted for computing future placement on the salary schedule. To qualify, hours must be turned in on or before September 30, 2010. BA = Teachers who have earned a bachelor’s degree. BA+15 = Semester hours, or equivalent, over and beyond a bachelor’s degree. MA = Teachers who have earned a master’s degree. MA+20 = Master’s degree plus twenty (20) semester hours, or equivalent. Credit hours over the master’s degree must be earned in the area in which the teacher is currently certified or in the field of education (professional coursework) or in a planned pattern of education leading to additional certification areas. When a teacher completes sufficient additional semester hours of college training to qualify for a higher classification within this salary schedule and files a transcript of college credits or other valid proof of such completed semester hours to the local treasurer, on or before the 15th of September of the first (1st) semester or January 20 of the second (2nd) semester, said teacher shall then qualify for the higher classification beginning with the first day of either the first or second semester.

SALARY SCHEDULE DEFINITIONS. A. The schedule of wages and salaries set forth shall be the schedule, which shall remain in force for the period of this Agreement. B. All increments shall be determined by the salary schedule. C. A teacher receiving advanced credits shall move horizontally and vertically to proper step for that individual. (1) A teacher may be granted credit on the salary schedule of any number of years of satisfactory service in a public school; (2) The salary step of the employee's first contract shall determine the base step that the employee is on for all future increments; (3) Beginning with the 1978-79 school year, recognition of a Master's Equivalent Degree for salary schedule purposes will require a Certificate from the PA. Dept. of Education. However, this requirement shall have no adverse effect, now or in the future, on any teacher who has previously received Master's Equivalent recognition from the District; (4) The individual teacher will be responsible for the collection and presentation to the Superintendent, of all documents necessary for application for the Master’s Equivalency Certificate. The cost of the application fee will be paid for by the district. If all course work is completed prior to the opening of the school, retroactive salary adjustment will be made once the certificate is received from the Department of Education.

  • – SCOPE & DEFINITIONS 2.01 The Employer recognizes the Union as the bargaining agent of all Registered and Graduate Nurses employed by Revera Long Term Care Inc. operating as Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre, Waterloo, Ontario, in a nursing capacity save and except the Assistant Director of Care and persons above the rank of Assistant Director of Care. (a) A full-time employee shall mean an employee covered by this Agreement who is committed to and regularly works the full work period of seventy- five (75) bi-weekly hours, exclusive of overtime. (b) A regular part-time employee is one who is committed to and regularly works less than the full prescribed bi-weekly hours of work. (c) A casual part-time employee means an employee who is called to work on a call in basis, but who does not work a regular schedule, or does so only for a specified period. Such employee has the option of refusing work when it is made available to her, however, it is also understood that a casual part-time employee cannot unreasonably or consistently refuse to work shifts. 2.03 Whenever the feminine pronoun is used in this agreement, it includes the masculine pronoun, where the context so requires and vice-versa. Where the singular is used, it may also be deemed to mean the plural and vice-versa.

  • SECTION I - DEFINITIONS As used in this Agreement, the following terms shall have the meanings ascribed herein unless otherwise stated or reasonably required by the Agreement, and other forms of any defined words shall have a meaning parallel thereto.

  • FTE Definition Effective September 1, 2017, part-time teacher FTE will be determined by the ratio of the teacher’s actual annual instructional time to the teacher instructional time of a full-time assignment in the teacher’s school. This FTE will be used to calculate the prorated portion of a teacher’s assignable time.

  • Overtime Definition Overtime shall be defined as being all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day, or in excess of the normal or standard work week. The overtime rate shall be one and one-half (1½) times the regular straight time hourly rate of pay. NOTE: Article 16.04 is applicable to full-time employees only.

  • COVERAGE AND DEFINITIONS THIS AGREEMENT shall apply to and cover the construction, installation, treating, reconditioning, taking-up, re-bevelling, re-laying, relocating, stockpiling, double- jointing or testing of all distribution pipelines or any segments thereof, including marine pipelines, transporting gas, oil, vapours, liquids, slurries, solids, or other transportable materials and underground and marine cables and all work incidental thereto and an integral part thereof coming within the jurisdiction of the Union, contracted for or performed by the Employer within Canada as such work is more fully described below. By mutual agreement this contract may be extended to cover other territory.
