Salary Schedule Steps. During the term of this Agreement, normal progression on the salary increment schedule is as follow: Step A Entry Step B After 1 year of paid employment Step C After 3 years of paid employment Step D After 5 years of paid employment Step E After 8 years of paid employment Step F After 12 years of paid employment Step G After 16 years of paid employment Step H After 20 years of paid employment Step increases for all bargaining unit members shall be effective on the date of eligibility for the step increase. Members of the bargaining unit who, as a result of reclassification, have more years of service than required for a step increase shall be eligible for the next step after one year. An unpaid absence of twenty (20) consecutive work days or less shall not have a negative impact on the employee’s seniority, anniversary date, or step increase computation.
Salary Schedule Steps. 1. Service requirements for advancement within pay ranges and for other purposes as specified herein shall have the implication of continuous service which means employment in the College’s service without break or interruption of service. 2. An employee must be actively on payroll (receiving a paycheck) at least fifty (50) percent of the hours the employee’s position is scheduled to work in a full fiscal year in order to qualify for a step increase on July 1. Employees hired during the year or who were laid off or on unpaid leave, must meet this requirement. 3. Salary steps within each category are based upon one (1) year. Employees hired between July 1 and December 31 shall be given credit for that fiscal year. Employees employed between January 1 and June 30 shall remain on that step through the following fiscal year. All salary steps are effective for a complete fiscal year which extends from July 1 through June 30.
