Section 8.4.1. 41 Upon the death of an immediate family member defined as Parents, Spouse, Domestic Partner 42 or Children; this paid bereavement leave shall be extended to five (5) days on request.

Section 8.4.1. 10 Upon advanced approval of employee’s supervisor, an employee may be granted up to two (2) 11 days leave with pay, per year, for personal reasons. In the event an employee receives approval 12 for more than two (2) personal leave days during a given year, such days shall be without pay.

Section 8.4.1. In the event a regular employee is absent from work because of an L & I work-related injury, a 27 temporary replacement may be used on a substitute basis. Section 8.4.1. 7 Work that becomes available on a holiday or on weekends shall be offered to the most senior 8 qualified employee in the building. If the work is refused by all of the qualified building 9 employees, the work shall be offered to qualified members in the classification, on a seniority 10 basis.
Section 8.4.1. Employees represented by Public School Employees Bargaining Unit are entitled to rest periods and meal breaks as listed below: • Less than four (4) continuous hours worked - No rest period. • At least four (4) continuous hours worked - One (1) paid fifteen (15) minute rest period. (The Employee’s rest period should be scheduled to be taken by the third hour worked) • At least eight (8) continuous hours worked - Two (2) paid fifteen (15) minute rest periods. (The Employee’s second rest period should be scheduled to be taken by the seventh hour worked) Such fifteen (15) minute rest period(s) shall occur as near the middle of the shift or half shift as practical. To qualify as “continuous hours worked” there must be fifteen (15) or less minutes between positions or work assignments. It is understood that an unpaid meal period will not be counted in determining “continuous hours worked.” The unpaid thirty (30) minute meal break will be considered continuous hours worked for purposes of scheduling a rest break.
Section 8.4.1. 4 Vacations for all regular 12-month employees will be prorated at a monthly rate of one-twelfth of 5 the employee's vacation entitlement as computed under Section 8.4.2.
