Section 9.6. Judicial Leave. 15 In the event an employee is summoned to serve as juror, or appear as a witness in court, or is named as 16 a codefendant with the District, such employee shall receive a normal day’s pay for each day of 17 required presence in court. In the event that an employee is a party in a court action, such employee 18 may request a leave of absence.

Leave Of Absence. 39 40 Section 9.7.1. 41 Upon recommendation of the immediate supervisor through administrative channels to the 42 superintendent, and upon approval of the board of directors, an employee may be granted a 43 leave of absence for a period not to exceed one (1) year; provided, however, if such leave is 44 granted due to extended illness, one (1) additional year may be granted.

Such repayment shall not exceed 40 the employee's normal daily pay less bona fide expenses. In the event that an employee is a party in a 41 personal court action, such employee may request a leave of absence. All employees shall return to 42 work once released from service with the exception of swing shift employees. If an employee works 43 swing shift and they are called for jury duty they receive a full shift of leave for every day they are 44 required to, and actually do, report for jury duty and serve past 11 AM. 45

Judicial Leave. 25 In the event an employee is summoned to serve as a juror, or appear as a witness in court or any other 26 contested proceeding, or is named as a codefendant with the DistrictDistrict, such employee shall 27 receive a normal day’s pay for each day of required presence; provided, however, that any 28 compensation received for such service shall be paid to the DistrictDistrict. Such repayment shall be 29 made after the employee’s mileage expenses have been deducted. In the event that an employee is a 30 party in a court action, such employee may request a leave of absence. 32 When the employee is released from jury duty, the employee shall be required to promptly report to 33 his/her assigned work station.

Such repayment shall not exceed the employee’s normal daily pay less travel 42 costs or non-wage related expenses. In the event that an employee is a party in a court action, such 43 employee may request a leave of absence. 44
Section 9.6. Judicial Leave. 12 In the event an employee is selected for duty on a jury, he or she shall be on paid release from job duties 13 and shall retain any wages and travel allowance received from the court. In the event an employee has 14 been dismissed from jury duty or partially released for the day, he/she is expected to return to his/her 15 work site as travel time permits.
