Section 9.1.2. 5 In the event employees are absent for reasons which are covered by Industrial Insurance, the 6 District shall pay the employee an amount equal to the difference between the amount paid the 7 employee by the Department of Labor and Industries and the amount the employee would 8 normally earn. A deduction shall be made from the employee’s accumulated sick leave in 9 accordance with the amount paid to the employee by the District.
Section 9.1.2. 46 An employee shall forfeit rights to reemployment as provided in Section 9.10 if the employee does not 47 comply with the requirements of Section 9.11, or if the employee does not respond to the offer of 48 reemployment within five (5) days or less.

Section 9.1.2. 29 Employees may use sick leave for the following purposes: 32 Accumulated sick leave shall be granted when an employee is required to be absent from 33 work for any of the following reasons:
34 (a) The employee’s mental or physical illness, injury, or health condition; to 35 accommodate the employee’s need for medical diagnosis, care, or treatment of a 36 mental or physical illness, injury, or health condition; or an employee’s need for 37 preventive care;
Section 9.1.2. 35 In the event employees are absent for reasons which are covered by Industrial Insurance, the 36 District shall offer the employee options provided by the Worker’s Compensation Fund.
