Selective Salary Adjustment. All other classifications under the AFSCME Central Table that receive a salary range increase will be reviewed and negotiated consistent with standard practices. All AFSCME classifications that are part of a classification study negotiated at other bargaining units will be included. Effective July 1, 2021 or the first of the month following ratification of the local agreement whichever is later, all employees will retain their current salary rate in the new range except that employees whose current rate is below the first step of the new range shall be moved to the first step in the new range and a new salary eligibility date what would be twelve (12) months from the effective date of the selective salary adjustment will be assigned. For an employee whose rate is within the new salary range but not at a corresponding step, the employee’s salary shall be adjusted to the next higher rate closest to the employee’s current salary rate.

Selective Salary Adjustment. Custodian from SR 9 to SR10 The Custodian classification will be adjusted based on the following implementation procedure: An employee who has been at the top step in the salary range of their classification for at least twelve (12) full calendar months before October 1, 2001 will receive a step increase effective October 1, 2001 and a new eligibility date of October 1, 2002 will be assigned. All other employees will retain their current salary rate until their next salary eligibility date at which time the employee will move to the next higher step in the range. However, if the employee's current salary does not match any rate in the new salary range, the employee will move on the date of implementation to the next higher rate in the new salary range that is closest to their current salary. Employees whose current rate is below the first step of the new range shall be moved to the first step of the new range on October 1, 2001 and a new eligibility date of October 1, 2002 will be assigned.

Any salary movement shall be subject to the conditions outlined in the Letter of Agreement on the Step Advancement Freeze.
