Settlement Allowance. 51.01 The Employer agrees to pay to each employee an annual settlement allowance of $1492.00 (one thousand four hundred and ninety two). 51.02 Annual settlement allowance will be paid to all employees. 51.03 Full time employees will receive a settlement allowance in equal amounts on a biweekly basis. Casual, part-time, and seasonal employees will be paid the settlement allowance prorated to an hourly rate. 51.04 The amount of settlement allowance shall be clearly identified on the employees pay stub.

Settlement Allowance. Settlement allowance shall be based on ten thousand one hundred dollars ($10,100) per year. This allowance shall be divided by 2080 for employees whose normal hours of work are eight (8) per day; and by 1950 for employees whose normal hours of work are seven and one-half (7½) per day. This allowance shall be paid on an hourly basis for all regular hours worked. It shall be paid bi-weekly.

Prior to receiving the settlement allowance the teacher will sign an authorization to permit the Board to deduct the repayment from the teacher’s final pay, if the same should be necessary.

Effective April 1, 2018 the hourly rate payable as Settlement Allowance shall be $3.14 for employees whose regular hours of work are eight (8) hours per day, and $3.30 for employees whose regular hours of work are seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. Effective April 1, 2019 the hourly rate payable as Settlement Allowance shall be $3.20 for employees whose regular hours of work are eight (8) hours per day, and $3.36 for employees whose regular hours of work are seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. 54.02 All employees presently receiving an amount more than stated above shall continue to receive that amount until such time that the benefit in this Agreement exceeds the amount presently received. At that time the employee shall receive the amount stated in the Agreement.
