Short-Term Disability/Paid Parental Leave. The Hospital will provide a Short-Term Disability and a Paid Parental Leave benefit effective the first full pay period following January 1, 2020.Following a seven (7) calendar day waiting period, Short-Term Disability will be paid at 100% of the employee’s base rate of pay for the first eight weeks, and at 66 2/3% of the employee’s base rate of pay thereafter, plus shift differential plus premium pay, if applicable. Paid Parental Leave will be paid at 66 2/3% of the employee’s base rate of pay plus shift differential plus premium pay, if applicable. Participation shall be subject to specific plan eligibility requirements and timely submission of benefit election. Short-term disability and paid parental leave benefits are coordinated with eligible pay available through the Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave Program to provide an employee, with a qualifying condition, 66 2/3% of their eligible pay.

Short-Term Disability/Paid Parental Leave. PHHH will provide a Short-Term Disability benefit that can be combined with and/or Paid Parental Leave benefits for clinicians who are eligible for both benefits. Clinician eligibility for this benefit is determined by the Short-Term Disability/Paid Parental Leave plan documents. For benefits-eligible clinicians, benefits will be as follows: 1. Short-term disability and/or paid parental leave benefits will be paid at sixty-five (65%) of the eligible clinician’s base rate of pay plus shift, certification, clinical ladder, and RCAP differentials at the time of the leave, if applicable. Beginning the first full pay period of 2024, this benefit will increase to sixty-six-point six seven percent (66.67%) of the eligible clinician’s base rate of pay plus regularly scheduled shift and applicable certification, clinical ladder, and RCAP differentials at the time of leave. 2. Beginning the first (1st) full pay period of 2024, PHHH will provide an enhanced Short-Term Disability benefit, in which benefits-eligible clinicians will be eligible for up to eight (8) weeks of leave with one hundred percent (100%) pay following the waiting period (when PTO can be used) and then sixty-six point six seven percent (66.67%) thereafter for a combined total of twenty-six (26) weeks, including base pay plus regularly scheduled shift and applicable certification, clinical ladder, and RCAP differentials provided under Appendix A and B, at the time of use.

In no case 17 will Providence deduct any amount from nurses pay to provide Short Term 18 Disability/Paid Parental Leave benefit and will reimburse employees for any deduction 19 that is made without a nurses’ explicit authorization relating to an equivalent short term 20 disability plan.

  • Short Term Disability The Employer agrees to provide Short Term Disability benefits to all active full-time employees from the first (1st) day of an accident or the first (1st) full-time day of hospitalized or the fourth (4th) day of sickness. The Plan will pay sixty-six and two thirds percent (66 2/3%) of basic earnings for the first two (2) weeks, then Unemployment Insurance will pay fifteen (15) weeks, then the Plan will resume payments for thirty-five (35 weeks).

  • Short Term Disability Insurance The Employer will provide access to a short term disability supplemental insurance plan to employees through payroll deduction. Such plan will be 100% paid for by the employee through payroll deduction using post- taxed dollars. Prior to the implementation, the Employer will review the plan with the Union. If an employee purchases the short-term disability insurance plan and incurs hours of leave that would qualify for both short-term disability and Extended Illness Bank paid leave, the employee may elect to use either short-term disability leave or Extended Illness Bank hours.
