The Special Event Pay clause establishes additional compensation for employees who work during designated special events. Special Event Pay. Employees shall be compensated at a rate of twenty six dollars and fifty cents ($26.50) per hour for all hours worked during a Special Event that falls under the following criteria: A. It is the employee’s sole option to work or not work the event; and B. The County has a contract with the separate employer for whom the service is being performed; and C. The separate employer compensates the County for hours worked by the employee as well as administrative fees as applicable; and D. The event is not covered during the employees normal working hours; and E. Hours worked for the Special Event shall not be combined with regular hours worked by the employee for the purposes overtime compensation.
Special Event Pay. 21 Special events shall include Football games and High School Graduation. Employees 22 who volunteer to work extra duty for such assignments shall be paid $75.00 per game worked 23 (Varsity or Junior Varsity) and $75.00 per graduation. Classified employees who offer to work 24 the extra duty assignment shall be chosen by seniority.
Special Event Pay. Fire Department personnel assigned to duty during a commercial activity special event wherein a condition of the event permit is that the City will be reimbursed for the cost of fire and/or EMS services will be compensated at double time (two times the regular rate of pay) for the overtime worked at the event.

Special Event Pay. When the Fire Chief requires the use of an employee covered by this agreement during the filming or taping of movies, commercials or private/commercial special events within the City limits, each of the required personnel shall be paid by the City at a rate of $75.00 per hour, for up to eight (8) hours. Any time over eight (8) hours in a day will be paid at the rate of $112.50 per hour.
Special Event Pay. Any time a non-exempt UM works a special event (pre, during, or post) and the time actually work is in excess of 40 hours in a given work week, the non-exempt UM shall be compensated in cash at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate instead of compensatory time off for time worked related to the special event in excess of 40 hours for the work week.
Special Event Pay a. The community has many special events that require JH Fire/EMS and the Sheriff’s Office to provide medical care, safety and protection. Qualified shift personnel who work ‘special events’ will receive special event pay of ‘double time’ for hours worked for the events. b. Working an event that occurs during normally scheduled hours does not qualify for special event pay. c. Special events will be defined and approved by the Fire Chief and Sheriff prior to their occurrence. d. JH Fire/EMS ‘pool’ employees who work a special event will not receive additional premium pay for time worked.
