Standard Web Courses a) These courses have similar responsibilities and duties to the print courses and the OLFM is not expected to provide additional course content but rather to explain and assist students with existing course content using their personal and professional knowledge. This may include references to documents or web sites. b) The duties of OLFMs will include the following: i) Administrative set up and administrative record keeping of a student; ii) Attempting to make initial contact with the student within one (1) week of the OLFM being advised of the student’s registration as specified in the general principles, specifically Article 8.1 1) c); iii) Maintaining regular contact with the student as specified in the general principles, specifically Article 8. 1 1) c); iv) During periods of time-sensitive course related learning activities, the OLFM will attempt, as a general rule, to respond to inquiries within one (1) business day. Responding to all student queries by phone, e-mail or other method as appropriate within two business days; an auto-reply message is acceptable during an OLFM’s days off or on General Holidays, or in cases of emergency absence of the OLFM. The aim of this provision is to ensure timely response to student queries. OLFMs will make their TRU phone numbers available to students for contact if required. v) In a very few instances, courses have an oral component (e.g., Language courses) and OLFMs may be required to be available at set times. However, the principle remains: the responsibilities and duties of OLFMs in Standard Web courses are comparable to those in Print-based courses. Courses that include an oral component will be examined on a case by case basis to ensure that workloads are comparable. vi) Marking all assignments, where assignments may include moderation and evaluation of course conferences, discussion groups etc. vii) Communicating any problems with the courses, both academic and technical, to the designated University employee. The OLFM is not responsible for course maintenance or modification except as outlined in Article 6.8. OLFMs will be provided with an e-mail address and/or the names of designated University employees to whom to refer changes. viii) Use of email and the OLFM Portal. c) The University reserves the right to access courses on an ongoing basis.

Standard Web Courses. (a) These courses have similar responsibilities and duties to the print courses and the Tutor is not expected to provide additional course content but rather to explain and assist students with existing course content using their personal and professional knowledge. This may include references to documents or web sites. (b) Payment to Tutors for Web-based courses will be as follows: (i) The Tutor shall receive a flat rate (Standard Web Course Fee as per Appendix A) per student per 3.0 credit course paid over the term of the course. In courses where the credit value is either greater than or less than 3.0, the flat rate per student will be adjusted accordingly. This does not apply to group delivery or nursing courses where practicum or other types of learning are required as part of the course design. It is understood that this fee compensates the Tutor for seeing the student through the course, including one extension. (ii) If a student cancels or withdraws from the course, the Course Fee will be pro-rated based on the student’s actual time in the course. Where a student does not cancel or withdraw but rather changes to an audit status, full payment will be made. This will be effective upon approval of the Agency policy change by the Agency Academic Council. If a student completes the course earlier the agency will pay out the balance to the tutor. This will be implemented as soon as the Agency can adapt its payroll system. (iii) In the alternative, and at the Agency’s sole discretion, Web based Courses may be paid using a Tutor Marked Assignment method instead of a flat rate (Course Fee). In this case tutors will be paid for assignments marked with the understanding that the total TMA payments cannot be less than or greater than the Course Fee. (iv) In addition to the Course Fee, tutors will receive the Per Student Fee and the Technology Fee as per Appendix A for new student registrations subsequent to the date of ratification by the Union and the Agency. The monthly stipend will not be paid for Web Courses. (c) The duties of tutors will be the same regardless of the method of payment and will include the following: (i) Administrative set up and administrative record keeping of a student; (ii) Attempting to make initial contact with the student within one (1) week of the Tutor’s being advised of the student’s registration; (iii) Maintaining regular contact with the student as specified in the general principles, specifically 1.iii); (iv) Responding to all...

  • Training Courses The Employer shall bulletin any training courses and experimental programs for which employees may be selected. The bulletin shall contain the following information: (a) type of course (subjects and material to be covered), (b) time, duration and location of the course, (c) basic minimum qualifications required for applicants. This bulletin shall be posted for a period of two (2) weeks on bulletin boards in all Departments to afford all interested employees an opportunity to apply for such training. The senior qualified applicant shall be selected.

  • Courses (a) Courses offered in the high school through UWHS are official UW courses, and students in the courses are eligible to register to earn UW credit in addition to the high school credit awarded by the School/District. (b) UW courses will be taught in rooms provided by the District and/or School during the academic year. Specific course dates will be determined by the District, which will communicate course plans to UWHS. (c) Specific to UW French, German, and Spanish courses, mixed-level courses are prohibited. All students in the classroom must be taking the same course and be at the same level of learning the language. For example, a FRENCH 103 course will include only students taking FRENCH 103 and will not simultaneously have students at a higher or lower level of French in the classroom at that time. The School/District may request an exception to this policy, and UW will review each request and promptly notify the School/District of approval or denial of that request. (d) If a UW course in the high school must shift to hybrid or remote learning, in which part or all of the course instruction occurs without in-person, classroom-based instruction, the teacher will complete a course contingency approval form provided by UWHS. This form will outline the teacher’s plan for conducting the course in this new format. The teacher will submit this to UWHS, and the form will then be routed to the appropriate, discipline-specific UW faculty for review and approval. If the UW faculty have concerns, the teacher will be contacted to revise their plan. If the plan is ultimately denied by faculty, the UW course will be cancelled for UW credit and fees paid by and for all UW-registered students will be fully refunded. (e) School or District may not combine within the same course section (i.e., all students in the classroom with the teacher) a UW course with another college’s course offered as “College in the High School.” The teacher is only teaching a UW course during that class period. If desired, School or District may partner with other colleges to offer other college courses in separate course sections, taught in different periods. (f) In some circumstances, UW faculty have approved co-delivery of a UW course alongside an Advanced Placement (AP) course, with the same teacher and students in the same classroom. Such a course would be indicated in the course catalog, transcript, and syllabus as both a UW and AP course. School or District personnel should contact UWHS to confirm which UW courses are approved by UW for co-delivery with an AP course and to ensure course compatibility and syllabus approval.

  • Internet Connection Certain Solutions may require an active and stable connection to the Internet in order to function. It is therefore your responsibility to ensure that you have at all times an active and stable Internet connection.

  • Sites 11.1 To enable Digital Origin to fulfill its obligations under any Contract: 11.1.1 the Client shall permit or procure permission for Digital Origin and any other person(s) authorised by Digital Origin to have reasonable access to the Client’s Sites, Equipment and/or Leased Equipment and any other relevant telephone system and other equipment and shall provide such reasonable assistance as Digital Origin requests. 11.1.2 Digital Origin will normally carry out work by appointment and during Normal Working Hours but may request the Client to (and the Client shall) provide access at other times. In the event that the Client cancels, reschedules or misses any pre-arranged appointment, it shall be liable to Digital Origin for any costs and expenses which Digital Origin incurs as a result of such cancellation, rescheduling and/or missed appointment. 11.2 At the Client’s request, Digital Origin may agree (at its sole discretion) to work outside Normal Working Hours and the Client shall pay Digital Origin’s reasonable charges for complying with such a request. 11.3 The Client warrants, represents and undertakes that it has adequate health and safety provisions in place at its Sites. 11.4 The Client shall procure all consents, licences and permissions necessary from landlords or other third parties for the carrying out of preparation work, installation of Equipment and/or Leased Equipment and for the provision, use and operation of the Equipment and/or Leased Equipment and/or Services at the Sites (save to the extent Digital Origin has agreed in writing to do it). 11.5 In the event that the Client is not able to procure the necessary consent to provide the Services within ninety days of the Connection Date Digital Origin will be able to terminate the Contract forthwith by giving the Client written notice without any liability. If the Client has not managed to procure the necessary consents and Digital Origin has commenced work the Client shall, on request by Digital Origin, refund to Digital Origin the cost of all such work (including, without limitation, staff costs and equipment costs) of an amount no less than £500 as Early Termination Charges. 11.6 The Client shall provide Digital Origin with the site and building plans (to include full details of all internal cabling runs) of the Sites and provide Digital Origin with full details of all other services in the vicinity of the proposed works. 11.7 The Client is responsible for making the Site good after any work undertaken by Digital Origin at a Site, including without limitation replacing and re-siting items and for re-decorating. 11.8 If the Client is moving a Site, Digital Origin must be informed as soon as is reasonably practicable so that suitable arrangements can be made to transfer the Client’s Services and Equipment and/or Leased Equipment. Unless otherwise requested, Digital Origin, in addition to moving the Service and Equipment and/or Leased Equipment, will also endeavour (but cannot guarantee that it will be able, for example where the Client moves to a different exchange) to retain the Client’s relevant existing telephone number(s). If Digital Origin can transfer the Client’s existing number(s) to the new Site the existing Contract will continue under the same terms and conditions. If Digital Origin cannot transfer the Client’s existing number(s) to the new Site, installation of a new line will be required at the new Site, or if the Client requires any additional new lines, this will attract new line connection charges and a new Contract. 11.9 If the new installation or moving Site involves the visit of an engineer to facilitate the new installation the Client will be responsible for the costs incurred by Digital Origin for the appointment together with an administration fee in respect of any additional works required to be undertaken by Digital Origin to complete the transfer of the Services and Equipment and/or Leased Equipment. 11.10 If the Client moves Sites and leaves the Equipment and/or Leased Equipment for the new owner/tenant the Client is required to inform them that the Service will be discontinued if Digital Origin is not contacted by the new owner/tenant within 72 hours for the purpose of entering into a new contract with Digital Origin for such services and subject in any event to the agreement of such a contract. 11.11 If at the new Site the Client receives services from an alternative supplier the Client is responsible for any contractual agreement the Client has with them and any liabilities the Client may incur for terminating such agreement.

  • Standard Services As long as Tenant is not in default under any of the provisions of this Lease, Landlord shall cause the Leased Premises (in accordance with Section 10.3 below) and the public and common areas of the Building, (and the Project Common Areas), including the lobbies, elevators, stairs, corridors and rest rooms, to be maintained in reasonably good order and condition consistent with the operation and maintenance of the Building as a first-class office building in downtown Bellevue, except for damage occasioned by any act or omission of Tenant or Tenant's officers, contractors, agents, invitees, licensees or employees, the repair of which shall be paid for by Tenant ,so long as damage occasioned by other tenants and their officers, contractors, agents, invitees, licensees or employees, is paid for by such other tenants. From 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, excluding legal holidays, and from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays ("Regular Business Hours"), Landlord shall furnish the Leased Premises with electricity for lighting and operation of low power usage office machines, water, heat, air conditioning and elevator service as is customary and anticipated by tenants in a first-class office building (the "Standard Services"). During all other hours, Landlord shall furnish the Standard Services, including elevator service as reasonably required to provide access to the Leased Premises, except for heat and air conditioning and lighting. If requested by Tenant, Landlord shall furnish heat and air conditioning and lighting at times other than Regular Business Hours and the cost of such services, as established by Landlord (which in no event shall exceed Landlords' actual cost of such services), shall be paid by Tenant in the same manner as provided in Section 4.1 above. Landlord also shall provide lamp replacement service for Building Standard fluorescent light fixtures (but not for any specialty lighting installed by Tenant), toilet room supplies, window washing at reasonable intervals and customary building janitorial service in the Leased Premises consistent with those services in other first-class office buildings as part of the Standard Services, although no janitorial service shall be provided for Saturdays, Sundays or legal holidays. The cost and expense of any janitorial or other services provided or caused to be provided by Landlord to Tenant in addition to the services ordinarily provided Building tenants or is excessive relative to services provided to other tenants in the Building generally, Tenant shall reimburse Landlord upon demand for the additional cost resulting from such services, which shall be paid by Tenant in the same manner as provided for payment in Section 4.1 above. Standard Services shall not include any security services exclusively for Tenant within the Leased Premises. General security services will be provided in a manner consistent with the nature of the Project, and its cost will be allocated as a Building and/or Project Operating Cost. Landlord has not and does not make any representations to Tenant and assumes no responsibility to Tenant that the security services that are provided by Landlord will be effective in preventing any harm, both physical and economic, to Tenant or any of Tenant's employees or invitees. The HVAC system that Landlord shall install in the Building is generally described in Schedule D-1 and, among other things, shall allow temperature adjustments to be made in the Leased Premises on a zone by zone basis on each floor. Tenant shall pay any and all costs required to implement the features of the system by which Tenant may make temporary adjustments on a zone by zone basis on each floor . Any services provided by Landlord under this Section 6.4 shall be applied consistently and in a nondiscriminatory manner.

  • System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades Connecting Transmission Owner shall design, procure, construct, install, and own the System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades described in Appendix A hereto. The responsibility of the Developer for costs related to System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of Attachment S to the NYISO OATT.

  • Proposed Policies and Procedures Regarding New Online Content and Functionality By October 31, 2017, the School will submit to OCR for its review and approval proposed policies and procedures (“the Plan for New Content”) to ensure that all new, newly-added, or modified online content and functionality will be accessible to people with disabilities as measured by conformance to the Benchmarks for Measuring Accessibility set forth above, except where doing so would impose a fundamental alteration or undue burden. a) When fundamental alteration or undue burden defenses apply, the Plan for New Content will require the School to provide equally effective alternative access. The Plan for New Content will require the School, in providing equally effective alternate access, to take any actions that do not result in a fundamental alteration or undue financial and administrative burdens, but nevertheless ensure that, to the maximum extent possible, individuals with disabilities receive the same benefits or services as their nondisabled peers.
