Temporary Reduction in Staffing. In the event that a Hospital determines that it is necessary to reduce staffing at a component on a given shift due to a reduced workload, the following procedures will apply subject to patient care needs and so long as the remaining employees are fully competent to cover the actual and anticipated patients and work load: First, volunteers will be solicited. If there are no volunteers, then Travelers, then any per diem Technologist Employee working on that shift will be canceled or sent home early. In the event that there are no volunteers, Travelers, or per diem Employees on the shift in question, the Technologist to have his/her hours reduced will be selected on a rotational basis, with the least senior Technologist on duty at the component being canceled first and rotating the involuntary cancellation of hours throughout the year until all Technologists have taken a turn. Cancellation of shifts and hours will be recorded to facilitate proper rotation of reductions. A Technologist who has been placed “in-charge” of a component may be exempted from call-off whenever Hospital management concludes that the Technologist is needed to remain in charge for the shift. If the remaining staff would not be qualified to perform the available and anticipated work if the individual to be canceled as set forth above were selected for temporary reduction, the next Employee in line for reduction will be selected.

Temporary Reduction in Staffing. Full staffing may be temporarily reduced to three (3) trained personnel for up to a total of 8 hours in any 24-hour shift period. Departments/Districts that enter the system with a staffing level of three (3) members on any engine and/or ladder shall have an active plan to accomplish full staffing within one (1) year of entry. For a Participant(s) that does not meet this requirement, any Party can request a vote of the Central Life Safety Response System Council for a determination as to whether the Participant(s) not meeting this requirement will remain eligible for automatic aid response, or if that Participant(s) will then default to a mutual aid response.

  • REDUCTION IN STAFF 15.1 Procedure According to provisions of Missouri Statute 168.124, the Board of Education may place on leave of absence as many teachers as necessary because of decrease in enrollment, school district reorganization, or financial conditions. Whenever the Board anticipates a reduction in teaching staff, the superintendent or his/her designee will notify the officials of the Association concerning the anticipated reduction in the teaching staff. A meeting between the Association officials and the superintendent or his/her designee will be scheduled for purposes of discussing the proposed reduction in staff within two weeks (2) following the above notification. Individual teachers will not be contacted prior to the above meeting. In placing teachers on leave, the Board shall be governed by the following provisions:

  • Temporary Reduction of Downpayment When, under B8.33, Contracting Officer orders a delay or interruption of Purchaser’s Operations for more than 30 days when scheduled operations would be occurring but for the order, the downpayment amount required shall be temporarily reduced upon the written request of Purchaser or at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. For the period of the delay or interruption, the downpayment on deposit may be reduced to $1,000 or two (2) percent of the downpayment amount listed in A18, whichever is larger.   • Salary Reduction A reduction in pay from one step to another, which is not below the minimum rate established for the position by the salary plan. A copy of the notice of reduction shall be sent promptly to the City Manager Department for inclusion in the employee's official personnel file.

  • TEMPORARY RELOCATION The Licensee shall temporarily raise or lower its wires or other equipment upon the reasonable request of any Person holding a building moving permit issued by the Town. The expense of such raising or lowering shall be paid by the Licensee, unless otherwise required or permitted by applicable law. The Licensee shall be given reasonable notice necessary to maintain continuity of service.

  • Temporary Replacement Whenever an employee who is a Xxxxxxx finds that he/she also is the "supervisor" in a grievance procedure, it is agreed that another authorized Xxxxxxx shall function in that particular grievance.

  • Temporary Layoffs A. The Employer may initiate a temporary layoff for up to twelve (12) working days per fiscal year. Employees will be given thirty (30) days’ notice before the effective date of a temporary layoff. Employees may request alternative temporary layoff days from their manager or supervisor and any requests will be considered and approved or denied in writing.

  • Staff Reduction In the event the District adopts a reduced educational program by reason of financial necessity, including but not limited to, levy failure and/or decreased State or Federal support, certificated employees who will be retained to implement the District’s reduced or modified program and those certificated employees who will be non-renewed from employment or adversely affected in contract status shall be identified by the provisions contained in this Article. If the District is only reducing provisional employees, the following procedures do not need to be implemented.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.

  • Voluntary Reduction in Hours Appointing Authorities may allow employee(s) to take unpaid leaves of absence to reduce layoffs otherwise necessary. If it is necessary to limit the number of employees in a work unit on unpaid leave at the same time, the Appointing Authority shall determine whether conflicts shall be resolved among classes or within a particular class based upon staffing needs. In either event, leave shall be granted on the basis of State Seniority within the employee's work unit. Such employees taking leaves of absence under this Section shall continue to accrue vacation and sick leave and be eligible for paid holidays and insurance benefits as if the employees had been actually employed during the time of leave. If a leave of absence is for one (1) full pay period or longer, any holiday pay shall be included in the first payroll period warrant after return from the leave of absence. Upon return from leave, the employee shall return to his/her former position.

  • Temporary Disconnection Temporary disconnection shall continue only for so long as reasonably necessary under Good Utility Practice.
