Trainer’s Allowance. An employee who the Employer assigns to be a designated trainer for a specific employee to give guidance and advice in the professional development and training of that employee and who is not assigned those duties in his/her job description shall be paid a trainer’s allowance of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per month or portion thereof for the period of the training. The trainer will report on the progress of the employee he/she is training on a regular basis. (b) A VSE trainer at the direction of the employer, shall be paid at the appropriate grade for the task. For example when training an employee in a crane they will be paid the grade allocated to crane operators in accordance with the Agreement. Additionally, VSEs shall receive a penalty of one and half times (1.5) that rate for the period they are conducting the training or the appropriate applicable rate to the shift performed whichever is higher. This penalty is in lieu of any additional shift penalties or overtime the VSE may be entitled to during the training shift.

Trainer’s Allowance. (a) An employee appointed as a trained trainer for a workgroup pursuant to clause 4.1.2(g), will be paid the Weekly Trainer’s Allowance specified in the Schedule to this Agreement (Wage Rates and Allowances).
(b) An employee who is not receiving the weekly Trainer’s Allowance pursuant to (a) above and who is required by the Company to provide formal training and/or competency assessment on a shift, will be paid the per shift Trainer’s Allowance specified in the Schedule to this Agreement (Wage Rates and Allowances) for that shift. For the avoidance of doubt, on-the-job familiarisation is not formal training.
(c) Trainer’s allowance is not paid as an all purpose allowance.
Trainer’s Allowance. The hospital pharmacist/ clinical chemist/clinical physicist, who is not a professor, can be entitled to receive a trainer’s allowance from the employer for carrying out trainer’s activities as a competent Trainer in the context of training registrations for those professions.
Trainer’s Allowance. Staff members who are appointed as On-The-Job trainers shall be eligible for an OJT allowance of $150 per month. This allowance shall not be included in the computation of overtime payments.
Trainer’s Allowance. 27.1 Workplace trainers shall be trained to Category One (Train the Trainer) of the Workplace Trainer Competency Standards. Workplace trainers shall receive the trainer’s allowance, prescribed in Clause 24, for each day or shift that they train other personnel. M5 personnel are paid a Trainer’s allowance as part of their annualised salary and are not eligible to claim this allowance.
