ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. An employee who terminates employment and certifies the intention of leaving the Northwest Territories or moving to another settlement within the Territories will be entitled, subject to B2.02 below, to receive a financial subsidy designed to assist the employee in defraying the cost of the move. This subsidy is referred to as Ultimate Removal Assistance. B2.02 An indeterminate employee's entitlement to Ultimate Removal Assistance is determined on the basis of length of service with the Government of the Northwest Territories as follows:
ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. 42.01 An employee who terminates his/her employment with the N.W.T. Public Service and certifies his/her intention of leaving the Northwest Territories or moving to another settlement within the Northwest Territories, will be entitled to Ultimate Removal Assistance, as outlined in this Article.
ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. An employee who terminates employment effective the end of an academic year in accordance with 18.16 (2) and certifies the intention of leaving the Northwest Territories or moving to another settlement within the Territories will be entitled, subject to B2.02 below, to receive a financial subsidy designed to assist the employee in defraying the cost of the move. This subsidy is referred to as Ultimate Removal Assistance.
ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. 45.01 On removal for reasons other than cause, the employee must have been employed for over one year to be entitled to any removal benefits received upon initial appointment unless the employee has taken vacation travel assistance during the same half of the fiscal year. In which case their removal entitlement will be reduced by the amount of vacation travel assistance taken. Removal for employees who have served more than one year will be:
(a) between one and two years 50% of original relocation terms
(b) between two and three years 75% of original relocation terms;
(c) over three years 100% of original relocation terms.
ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. 56.01 Upon his/her termination of employment, other than termination of employment due to discharge, an employee shall receive a lump-sum payment for ultimate removal assistance, as follows:
(a) upon completion of two (2) years of continuous service: $4,200;
(b) upon completion of three (3) years of continuous service: $6,300;
(c) upon completion of four (4) years of continuous service: $8,400;
(d) upon completion of five (5) or more years of continuous service: $10,500.
56.02 To be eligible for this assistance, an employee who terminates his/her employment with the Employer must certify his/her intention to leave his/her community of employment.
56.03 The estate of a deceased employee is eligible for the appropriate lump-sum payment for ultimate removal assistance.
56.04 An employee who receives ultimate removal assistance from any other source will not be eligible for ultimate removal assistance in accordance with this Article.
ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. The employer shall pay (one thousand dollars) ultimate removal to an employee who resigns or retires provided that the employee moves at least from Hay River, This entitlement must be used within year of completion of service with the employer.
ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. An employee who terminates his employment and certifies his intention of leaving the Northwest Territories or moving to another settlement within the Northwest Territories, will be entitled to Ultimate Removal Assistance, as outlined in this Article. Employees who have been provided with removal assistance upon initial appointment will be entitled to the benefits of this Article after three (3) years of continuous employment, when they terminate employment and move from the Hay River area. The amount paid shall vary with the length of continuous employment as follows:
ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. 41.01 An employee who was hired from outside the Hamlet of Kugluktuk and who has worked for the Employer for two (2) years shall receive one hundred percent (100%) removal assistance from the Hamlet to point of hire. If an employee is entitled to removal by another source, the employee shall access this source first.
ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. An Employee who terminates his or her employment and certifies his or her intention of leaving or moving to another community within will be entitled to Ultimate Removal Assistance, as outlined in this Article. All Employees other than casual and part-time will be entitled to the benefits of this Article.
ULTIMATE REMOVAL ASSISTANCE. 54.01 Employees hired prior to April 1, 1991 who have been provided with removal assistance upon initial appointment will be entitled to the benefits of this Article. Employees hired on or after April 1, 1991 will not be eligible for any of the provisions of this article.
54.02 Locally hired employees hired prior to April 1, 1991 who have ten (10) full years of employment or more at time of termination of his/her employment and certifies his/her intention of leaving the Northwest Territories or Nunavut or moving to another settlement within the Northwest Territories or Nunavut within thirty (30) days of termination except in extenuating circumstances approved by the Employer will be entitled to Ultimate Removal Assistance of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) for the employee and each of his/her dependants.
54.03 Laid off employees, at the time his/her seniority and employment are terminated according to Article 52.01, shall be eligible for one hundred percent (100%) of ultimate removal assistance regardless of length of service.
54.04 The dependants of a deceased employee shall be eligible for one hundred percent (100%) ultimate removal regardless of length of service.
54.05 In the case of an employee who has received annual leave travel assistance in the same half of fiscal year in which the ultimate removal is claimed, the approved total of removal assistance will be reduced by the amount of the received annual leave travel assistance.
