Union Business Release Time. Community Services Unit and the Part-Time Recreation Leaders Association The CSU and PTRLA Units will be entitled to up to two-hundred and forty (240) hours of paid leave of absence each calendar year to be granted collectively to employees in the Community Services Unit and the Part-Time Recreation Leaders Association who are designated elected officials or stewards of the Union, subject to prior approval by employee’s Department Head, to attend seminars, conferences, or conventions away from the job site. The Department Head may, in his or her discretion, approve additional Union requests. Time spent on such Union business will be recorded with the appropriate code on time sheets. A maximum of forty (40) hours of the 240 hours may be used by PTRLA members.
Union Business Release Time. The District will provide up to five days release time for Union business for up to two employees.
Union Business Release Time. The Union may designate, within each Fiscal Year, two employees from each Representation Unit who will be granted by their Department Head(s) up to three workdays Authorized Leave Without Pay to participate in Union training seminars or scheduled conferences. If the demands of the service will not permit the absence of the employee(s) for the date(s) indicated, the Department Head shall have the discretion to deny the request and to advise the Union to designate an alternate whose absence would not seriously disrupt City operations.
Union Business Release Time. 4.8.3.1 The Union shall be granted a total of 80 hours of paid release time each fiscal year to attend to union business. The following list of activities shall be considered Union business release time and shall be charged to the Union’s bank of hours
a) Xxxxxxx trainings
b) Union-sponsored classes and seminars
c) Chapter elections
4.8.3.2 The Union shall defend, indemnify, hold harmless, release and save the Library, its agents and its employees from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, orders, judgments, expenses or other forms of liability arising out of or in connection with this Article and/or any action taken by the Library and/or the Union under this Article, including but not limited to, union members taking paid release time to attend to union business. This indemnification clause shall be in addition to any other remedy available to the Library under this MOU or provision of the law.
Union Business Release Time. 6.01 The Board agrees to pay the salary and benefits for up to four (4) E.S.S. representatives on the Negotiating Committee for meetings held during working hours for a period of up to a maximum of seven (7) hours per day for each of its four (4) representatives. The E.S.S. will reimburse the Board for salary and vacation costs applicable to the T.S.S. if a replacement is used for up to four (4) E.S.S. representatives on the Negotiation Committee for meetings scheduled during working hours.
6.02 The Board agrees to pay the salary, benefits and cost of replacement, if one is required, for any E.S.S. representative required to attend a meeting called by the Board during working hours.
(a) The E.S.S. may have at its discretion, up to 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees relieved from his/her duties as is approved by the membership. It is agreed that a 1.0 FTE release will not be split into two
Union Business Release Time. 13.01 The Negotiating Committee of the C.E.I. shall be released from their duties without loss of pay, benefits, sick leave credit, seniority, service or experience for the purpose of attending negotiations for the renewal of this Collective Agreement. The Union will be billed for any replacement costs incurred to replace members released for C.E.I. negotiations and/or Joint Relations Committee meetings scheduled during normal working hours.
13.02 The Board agrees to pay the salary, benefits and cost of replacement, if one is required, for any C.E.I. representative required to attend a meeting called by the Board during C.E.I. working hours.
13.03 With prior approval of the Superintendent of Human Resources or his/her designate, and after consultation with the appropriate Superintendent/Principal/Manager, employees involved in Union matters during normal working hours shall not lose salary, benefits or seniority. The C.E.I. shall reimburse the Board for replacement costs.
Union Business Release Time. Clerical Chapter: The Union will be entitled to up to one-hundred and twenty (120) hours of paid leave of absence each calendar year to be granted collectively to employees in the Clerical Chapter who are designated elected officials or stewards of the Union, subject to prior approval by employee’s Department Head, to attend seminars, conferences, or conventions away from the job site. The Department
Union Business Release Time. The District will provide up to twenty (20) hours per fiscal year release time for the Chapter Chairperson and job stewards provided the Union reimburses the District for the cost of substitute, if any, to attend to Union business away from the work site.
Union Business Release Time. The Negotiating Committee of the L.E.S.E. Bargaining Unit consisting of no more than three (3) members shall be released from their duties without loss of pay, benefits, sick leave, seniority, service, or experience for the purpose of attending negotiations for the renewal of this Collective Agreement.
Union Business Release Time. When the Union, in writing, informs the Employer that an employee has been selected to serve as a Union official on paid status the following shall apply:
a. The Employer shall determine if the employee can be released as requested.
b. If the Employer determines the employee can be released for the service requested by the Union, the employee shall be maintained in their current budgeted status.
c. The employee shall request, and shall be granted time off unless there is an operational need to deny time off to attend the Union activities.
d. Under no circumstances shall the employer be exposed for any workers compensation liability during those hours the employee is serving in an official Union capacity off site.
e. The Employer shall bill the Union monthly for wages paid to the employee when performing as a Union official along with benefits at 113.75% of the salary.
