Release Time for Union Business. Union business leave with pay shall be granted for persons from Local 4502 to attend to Union business. Such leave shall not exceed six hundred (600) hours collectively per calendar year and shall be permitted with the prior approval of the Director of Human Resources or designee. Request for such leave shall be submitted as soon as practicable using the Request for Leave for Union Business Form (see Appendix F). Further, joint trainings and the number of Union representatives attending said joint training must be agreed upon by the City and the Union and shall not be charged to Union leave. The Union will reimburse to the City an employee’s hourly wage, including benefits, for any Union business leave in excess of the paid six hundred (600) noted herein.
Release Time for Union Business. 1. The College will provide HCAFA with up to eight (8) paid days each fiscal year (July 1 through June 30) for union business.
2. HCAFA will provide the appropriate Xxxx or his/her designee with five (5) business days advance notice of the individual(s) utilizing such leave.
Release Time for Union Business. The CSU shall provide release time for up to ten (10) people employed by the CSU for each scheduled meet and confer session. Normally, the Union shall provide the Office of the Chancellor with the names of the employees for whom release time is being requested at least five (5) working days prior to the commencement of the meet and confer session(s). Additional release time shall be provided on an individual basis to meet special needs related to transportation and work schedules. Upon the Union's request, such additional release time may include granting no more than one (1) additional day prior to the scheduled meet and confer session for an employee whose workday ends between midnight and 6:00 a.m. The parties may mutually agree to provide release time for bargaining unit members to caucus upon request by CSUEU. Upon request an employee on the bargaining team on swing or graveyard shift shall be reassigned to the day shift for the duration of bargaining.
Release Time for Union Business. When submitting requests for leave through the regular leave procedure for union business and designed delegates to SEIU Local 1021 conferences, the requests will be granted providing that the designated delegates submit the requests ten (10) working days prior to going to the conference so that a substitute may be brought in, if deemed necessary by the District. Up to ten (10) days release time per year shall be available for up to two (2) unit members designed to SEIU Local 1021 to attend District orientation meetings of new classified employees and as delegates to conferences. Additionally, up to twelve (12) days of release time per year shall be available for members designated by SEIU Local 1021 to conduct union business.

Release Time for Union Business. 1. Upon the receipt of a letter of authorization from the ADTU, an employee covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to leave of absence in accordance with Article G.6, in order to carry out such duties.
2. Leave pursuant to Article G.6.6 and Article G.6.7 shall be subject to payment to the Board of the full cost of a teacher teaching on call.
3. If an employee covered by this Agreement is elected or appointed to a full-time position with the BCTF, leave of absence shall be granted without pay for the duration of that employee’s office or appointment.
4. Where the Board and the ADTU mutually agree to conduct negotiations during instructional time, the cost of teachers teaching on call for up to six (6) teacher representatives shall be shared equally by the Board and the ADTU.

Upon the Union's request, such additional release time may include granting no more than one (1) additional day prior to the scheduled meet and confer session for an employee whose workday ends between midnight and 6:00 a.m. The parties may mutually agree to provide release time for bargaining unit members to caucus upon request by CSUEU. Release Time for Union Business. At the written request of the Union, the Board shall grant up to one (1) FTE per school year of release time for the President of the Local to conduct Union business. The Board agrees to continue the pay of the President during the leave at the applicable long-term occasional rate less required deductions, in consideration of which the Union shall reimburse the Board the full costs of such payment, including but not limited to the Occasional Teacher’s salary, all applicable employer contributions, allowances if applicable, sick pay, premiums and costs for benefits, Teachers’ Pension Plan, Employment Insurance, Employer Health Tax, Canada Pension and any other applicable costs or payments paid to or on behalf of the Occasional Teachers. Where an Occasional Teacher receives pay pursuant to this provision, the leave shall be treated for all purposes pursuant to the collective agreement as if it were time worked.
Release Time for Union Business. In recognition of the preamble of this Agreement the City shall grant paid release time to officers and representatives of the Union as enumerated below. Employees shall not otherwise conduct Union business while on duty.
A. Said release time shall be allowed for Board members to attend the Annual Police Benevolent & Protective Association State Convention, regular monthly Union meetings (limited to two (2) hours each month), labor management meetings, and the annual Union meeting.
B. The City shall grant paid release time to a maximum of four (4) Board members of the Union to attend at least one (1) labor seminar per calendar year. The Union Board shall determine which seminar will be attended. The Chief of Police, or his designee, will permit one alternate bargaining member to be granted paid release time, if necessary, should a Board member be unable to attend the Annual State Convention.
C. A Union representative shall have reasonable release time for investigating grievances pursuant to Article 8.3 of this Agreement.
D. Up to six (6) employees constituting a Union bargaining committee shall be allowed paid release time for negotiation meetings with the City for the purpose of negotiating a successor collective bargaining agreement. “Bargaining Committee” members will be permitted reasonable release time prior to and after contract negotiations.
E. Union representatives attending Labor-Management meetings during the representatives’ regularly scheduled work shift shall be considered “on assignment” for the regular shift time in attendance at the meeting. This shall not be expanded to require overtime or payment for time not actually scheduled for work for the representatives.
Release Time for Union Business a. The Employer shall grant release time totaling thirteen hundred and fifty (1,350) hours per year in the aggregate to bargaining agent representatives designated by the Union in accordance with Article 12.2(b,c,d) below.
b. The Associate Vice President for Human Resources in charge of collective bargaining shall be advised of individual(s) so designated.
c. Release time shall be utilized in a manner which is least disruptive to the individual's professional responsibilities and UConn Health's operation.
d. Except in unusual cases beyond the Union's control, the Union shall inform the Associate Vice President for Human Resources in charge of collective bargaining or designee in writing at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the day of release (with a carbon copy to the immediate supervisor of the unit). The written notice shall state the following:
1. the name of the employee to be released;
2. the name of the first supervisor outside the bargaining unit responsible for the employee;
3. the telephone number of the supervisor;
4. the date and time of the requested release time;
5. the number of hours to be charged to release time.
